North's midfield really took it up to ours last time, if memory serves.

Talls aren't exactly their strong suit though

North would have the worst tall defenders in the comp.

agreed. but we were trash too. that game was the only game i have seen live since 2012, and it was frustrating as hell

we'd want to play a lot better than that game, as north will do alright if they can control the middle

We remained undefeated after the North game, but reality set in after that game against the Crows, losing 8 of the next 9 games.

Like next week's team we had Walsh, Docherty missing, and Carroll, Fisher and Ed provided midfield rotations. LOB was on the wing. Acres suspended.

It was an even game till half time, and they held up well in the midfield battle. But we we not plating team footy. We could all see that in the first 4 rounds.

We blitzed them between the 10 min mark of the 3rd Q till the 20th minute of the 4th Qtr. Won it in 30 mins of footy. Our 2 KPFs kicked 10 goals between them and Wieters and Young took 22 marks between them in KPD roles.

I wouldnt be reading too much in our last encounter with them, other than our KPFs were too good for their KPDs, and Weiters and Young stood up to their KPFs (Larkey and Combden).

North still have a huge problem with their KPD's and their 2 prong attack is still Larkey cut CC-P instead of Combden. Larkey and Zurhaar are the dangermen in their forwardline and young 194cm Duursma is not too bad either.

Battle of the midfields: Cripps Hewett Cerra vs LDU, Wardlaw and Sheezel.

I'm pretty sure Doc played against the Roos last time Bondi. Voss moved him into the middle & it gave us a lift.

Your memory is better than mine. Legend CK.

I get blown away at some of the posters memory of games. I'm ok at it, but if I start indulging well before the start of the game I tend to forget a lot of moments till I watch the replay.

I have the teams on excel spreadsheets for the last 20 years, with personal notes. Done it since the AFL Commission tried to destroy our club.
I was interested in where the list was because I wanted to know when my kids were going to see success like I did. Suffice to say they have waited a lifetime.
A bit of a hobby. Relaxes me. Takes my mind of other stuff.

I must have been away during Good Friday last year and didn't update the team that game. I did have some notes.

I’ve typed “Carlton” and “success” into the interweb many times over the last 28 years and it just comes back with “404”.

At least we haven’t followed our Lygon St heritage.

There's no need to go bringing up Barnaby French.

Fingers crossed it continues, a week out from the game should mean he gets the nod

If he's training like that with the main group you'd have to think he's right.

Sadly I don't think Walsh is going to be back any time soon.
