If our depth is as good as we think it is, then we'll be fine.

Pretty simple answer to reduce injuries in football
Do your preseason without thinking to much about training loads
Then play the season
Whilst doing these two activities have a full time job
Have one coach
Make sure the grounds are quagmires in Winter
Get on the piss between Saturday night and Thursday night
If we lose by not running hard enough run the slack arseholes on the Monday night training session until they pass out of course between their day job and going to bed on the Monday night
Have every training session open to supporters

Etc
Etc
Etc…..

Seems like yesterday . The big crowd in front of the Robert Heatley . Wes front and square flanked by Barry Armstrong and Kevin Hall and others . The USC boys making there thoughts known to Wes who didn't give a shit coz he was running the show and stand aside anyone who dared to defy him . Ah yes " Special K " , those were the days .

Oh of course the most important
Have a nice relaxing root the night before the big game
Just like Harry “ Soapy” Vallance
Just the remedy to reduce pre-game nerves which obviously reduces the chances of soft tissue injuries

That was the modus operandi till Parkin’s second coming in 1991.

Carlton coach Michael Voss is preparing to be without Jacob Weitering for his side's season opener against Brisbane

"I think it's unlikely. He's on that edge about whether he does or he doesn't, but certainly in the next week or two he has a couple of milestones he needs to tick off for him to feel comfortable," Voss told AFL.com.au.

"I'll wait for those milestones and make some definitive calls on when we think [his return date] might be."

I'd be happy with a start on Good Friday. Then he can rest in the bye round and again after we win in the first week of the finals

The Walsh rumors aren't going away.

Can anyone shed any light on WTF is happening?

I know I'm about to subject myself to a tirade of hate, especially as a long time lurker, first time poster.

Regarding a stress fracture in his foot and a reported moon-boot - absolute rubbish.

Walsh did, however, report back pain yesterday. Before we all go into crisis mode, it's not the first time and it's something that many elite players manage throughout their careers

From The Age:

Star Carlton on-baller Sam Walsh is on a modified program after reporting back soreness following the intra-club match simulation last Monday.

The 23-year-old, who has had a strong pre-season, will not play against Geelong in the match simulation on Thursday but a club source who wanted to remain anonymous because he was not authorised to speak said they will be guided by how he is feeling before determining whether he lines up against Melbourne the following week.
