Harry for Pitto and TDK full time ruck.
If JSOS comes in I'm not sure who would make way. He might end up replacing Doc even though they aren't like for like replacements.
Boyd played well in the VFL so might be a chance as well.

Harry in for Pitto and TDK full time ruck would be absolute porn. TDK is ready. We’ll go to another level

Imagine being Byod, playing career best footy then you cop 3 weeks for a tackle and suddenly your spot is gone.

I know right? I understand the reason for Fisher keeping his spot after getting so many possessions down on the back flank and a big team win meaning "no changes" but I suspect Boyd would have made a better HBF than Fisher against Dees. Watching how the game was played only amplified that initial gut feeling. Boyd wont be easily outmarked, Fisher was, tackles harder and more often, and Dees left little room for Fisher's fancy footwork AKA dance steps.

These kinds of problems will only heighten if we make finals and win a couple (or more, *keeping a lid on it*) of them.

I thought Fisher was quite good against the Dees, would be harsh to drop him

Then again, there are going to be quite a few harsh droppings.

Being a good team does that

Kemp - No flower way is he going to be replaced and nor should he.

He has been one of the storis of this year and has just been awesome. Can play tall, can play small. Is quick and tough. What we have been crying out for.

Choice of him and Marchbank. No brainer really.

If Gov gets back, one possibility would be to move Kemp up the ground to a true CHF and play TDK full time ruck. Walsh sometimes gets listed as CHF but he's obviously playing as a super-mobile extra ruck-rover come multiple-lines-breaker.

Kemps hanger on the weekend was a beauty, didn't know he had that in his arsenal.

I couldn't say a single player played badly against Dees. All rose to the effort and set a new benchmark for us on defensive effort, commitment, and overall kicking efficiency and skills. But there's only a few I would rank under Fisher for Blues in that game, he wasn't bad, he just wasn't that impressive to me and I used to be a big Fish fan in the early years.

Agree re Kemp.

Cunners tackled the guy around the waist & did not hold his arms, then let go of him while he was falling. Nothing to see here

even one commentator (Daisy?) said it looked like a careful and almost gentle tackle or something like that. the commentators usually are all over it if there's a sniff of MRP/Tribunal.

Big couple of weeks in the reserves ahead, Gold Coast doing well in the VFL, then fairly likely we'll make the wildcard round. Hopefully another win to get a game into Harry, JSOS, whoever needs it ahead of an elimination final.

Yes , exactly Rod . We don't want blokes coming in stone cold . They need to clock up some K's .

All we have to do is keep bringing the same game and intent every game, and our depth players covering the 6 out, along with our Reserves team are playing the same tune.

I think we pick the best available, and we win.

If we add a 3 players to get a couple games into them before Elimination Final, we should.
Treat the games as practise games with intent to keep winning, and holding a spot in this Finals team.

If Hewett and Kennedy are available and fit in a Final, I'd play them both. Made for Finals footy.
As long as they bring the same intent as the team, and Hewett is leading the way.

Pittonet did a lot of grunt work that goes unnoticed. Gawn didn't star, nor did he win the game for the Dees. Pitto did his job. So did the mids.

On AAA show they blamed Grundie for Grawn not starring instead of crediting TDK and Pitto (and Carlton coaches). Typical, Lloyd while praising Blues depth did seem to have a very hard time with the game going Carltons way on the back of a controversial soft call/ARC decision.

So Walsh & Cerra's Minor hamstring Strain turns out to be a Full Hamstring 4-5 weeker if not Worse!!

Whilst This is bad news, the Unexpected Return of Harry makes it a bit sweeter to take :)

Dow played his first good AFL game that I can recall. even so, his drastically improved disposal doesn't have him at even a 50% rating against any of our first choice midfielders: Crippa, Cerra, Walsh, Kennedy, Hewitt (back into good form at then some) and Doc. I also like Fogerty and the others who run through the middle from the forward and defensive flanks better than Dow, even on the inside on averages, though Dow certainly improved his game out of sight against Dees. I thought Fogerty was unbelievably consistent and reliable this weekend, very unheralded type of player that glues a team together.

Harry McKay (knee)
- Has been back in full training and is expected to be available to play this week

Corey Durdin (shoulder)

Adam Cerra (hamstring)
- Aiming to be available next week

Mitch McGovern (hamstring)
- Aiming to be available next week

Sam Walsh (hamstring)
