it's starting to get a bit exciting. walsh, harry, gov on the brink. cerra not far behind. knowing it's going to be a given we're going to bring the heat, makes us all in here believe we're in every game we play from here out.

we win this one, and there is no lid because it's been blown off so high it's orbiting earth somewhere over nigeria.

If we are picking on form then Marchbank should be dropped for Boyd. Issue is do we go smaller? Positive is more run

Melbourne forward line last week as Van Rooyen, Petty, Harmes, Pickett, Neale-Bullen, Melksham, Chandler. It's NOT very tall. Petty will be out and likely replaced by McDonald or Brown or Grundy. So a tall for a tall.

Weitering & Kemp can handle the two talls. Important (which we do) our wings get back and help along with our Ruck. Newman can take Petracca if he goes forward or Melksham as could Cincotta. Boyd sits on Pickett and allows Fisher to free wheel.

The run gives us an advantage as long as we keep the pressure on around the ground as we have recently. It is that pressure that has caused the opposition trouble scoring

I read that both McDonald and Brown are injured yesterday so it will likely be Grundy for Petty. Lets not play him into form as a forward by manning him up with someone a foot shorter. Gawn will be forward at some point also.

Weitering takes them both. One has to be ruck further up the ground, so both wont be forward unless Gawn goes for a few sprints to their forwardline.

I think this game is easy if our mids can win the contest. Our backline is working well with Weitering in AA form, and our forward line, with help from mids, is finding a way to score.

Did you say Harry?
Mate, when he's back he adds another dimension, and confusion for the opposition aplenty with the manic pressure.

The Dees will certainly be free fallin' after this game, whilst we will be runnin’ down a dream.

If you believe all the stats people we should win this game.

I will not be confident until we are actually solidified in the eight for finals.

I’m nervous. I’m nervous every week and until we can’t drop out of the 8 I’ll be nervous.

If we’re entrenched, I’d be putting guys in cotton wool, because I’m nervous.

We are due for a loss. Then we face GC up there which might be problematic. It all could come down to the last game again.

On the other hand ... if we beat Melbourne everything opens up ... even the top 4.
I know its far fetched but the following teams would not want to drop their next 2.

Melbourne play Carlton, Hawthorn and Sydney.

Brisbane play Adelaide, Collingwood and StKilda.

Port play Giants, Fremantle and Richmond.

Melbourne will look particularly nervous if we beat them and they have to face up to an in form Hawthorn.

We are not due for a loss. Nothing close to showing that. We are the form team.
Will we be good enough to beat another Top 4 team on a slippery night?
I can't see us losing having seen what the Dees have shown in the last 4 weeks, whereas Carlton...

I will not be confident until I see Crippa and Vossy holding up the Cup on the last Saturday in September.

Team unchanged

and so it should.

Hope Boyd is sub.

WE don't need any injuries with our talls. I think we only have 4 and 2 are rucks and Weiters and Charlie.

WE are focused, tough and mobile, because we are selfless.

Who would have thought our depth players would be so hungry and well oiled (developed) in the VFL, that they warrant their spot with 6 first 22 out, and there's still good developing players in the VFL.
