To those who want to see Binns, I get it.
There has been constant suggestions to rest Hollands for Binns or that Binns is a better player.
No way should Binns be compared to Hollands, and if they are compared, lets stick to the facts in the comparison.
There's a reason Hollands is the go to player by Voss and the MC.
Both elite runners, but Holland has genuine speed and his kicking on both sides also sets them apart.
Hollands back from a shoulder injury just goes and goes. He is the real deal.
Binns will get a game, and may make the grade, but he will find it difficult when the list is fit and will have to be patient. Ditto the supporters.
i was super impressed with Holland in his return match. and that’s just from watching the replay, being there you’d have seen his pace, endurance and timing/patterns all afternoon.
in the past i’d been a bit critical of him not being able to stick tackles and tendency to prop rather than tackle, but that was in the context of a terrible team tackles laid count for weeks in a row, and opponents dancing through our corridor.
Holland even stuck at least one excellent tackle against WCE but his speed with the ball and foot passing to Curnow was as good as it gets from our various wingers. we seem to play some of our HFs and HBs as extra wingers ATM it’s never just two or three playing that role, whoever is in that position on the field Cottrell and Cunners etc etc are always getting back and getting forward on a few of the fast breaks. it’s working well, allows Doc to stay more central and be a link man.
