I am quite surprised that Port have also omitted 3 players given they have had to make 4 forced changes.

7 changes must be very disruptive to a team. I have a feeling they are priming themselves for Collingwood next week at home.

I smell opportunity in the air!!

Betting odds now almost even:

Carlton $1.92
Port $1.88

Yesterday it was:

Carlton $2.25
Port $1.65

They've made 3 changes on top of 4 forced changes

We want this win more than they do I reckon

they are resting players, thats for sure, but they have also got themselves in this position ...

hope the lads take it as an insult ... that port feel they can rest players against us ...

Agreed. That, and they don't rate us.

They are probably focusing more on their match against Collingwood next week.

Marchbank Emergency. I assume McGovern will be given until Saturday

 sounds like a plan.

They're going shorter than expected.

Backline is all around 186cm with Alir and Jonas their KPD's
Bring on Fog and Owies and stretch them with C & H & SOS
Did I mention Martin & Cuningham?

I'm expecting Marchbank to be sub after the media promo of him during the week

Fk I'm excited.
I'm trying to keep a lid, but Ive been believing in all the good bits for a long time.
The whole of the cake looked great last 3 games, and the one before Effendopes.

We need to know.
The players want to know.
The coach wants to know, where his team is at with his game plan.
Lets see if the boys have really bought in.

Carlton by 3-8 goals
No excuse, other than not good enough to beat the 2nd best team.

I didn't think there was any doubt about Gov. Good point, and Marchbank is probably best option.
The cupboard is filling up with injury prone players all available, except Williams and Philp.

Selection is right IMO
There is no way they would put Young back in defence
Hewett obvious for Kennedy
If McGovern doesn’t come up Marchbank comes in

Interesting that two fly overs last week in Curnow & Cowan not even emergencies this week. Neither is Young

Which I hope is an absolutely bruising encounter for the pies, given we've got them the week after

When does Pitto qualify as injury prone?

Andrew Russell cops more shit than Paddy Dow yet he seems to be getting these blokes up . Martin and Cunningham and now Marchbank who are three of our more talented players .

That's exactly what I was thinking.

A bruising encounter between the two top teams and the Colliwobbles playing away from the MCG for once.... Sets it up nicely after we play Wet Toast in Melbourne for our preparation.

It would be poetic justice if we could sneak a win against the Pies to get in the 8. One can only dream...
