Good on you Syd . First indigenous player i saw play for Carlton . He was such a scintillating player to watch . You could not take your eyes off Syd . He was mesmerising . Wrapt to hear he is so interested in our fortunes .

I heard Jordan Lewis make comment that our tackle count was possibly low due to change of game plan to a more attacking style.
While I subscribe to the idea, I seen some pretty ordinary efforts during the game.
We also were beaten in 1%ers again.
For me this isn't coaching, it's lack of effort plain and simple.
The players need to sort this out or know they will be up for trade at seasons end.
They're either in or they are out.

As for the game.
We need to drop Young, he is woeful at the moment.
Maybe put McKay down back for a week or two and Cripps up forward.
The midfield needs a massive shake up also.
Kennedy needs 100% midfield time if his body can handle it and Cunners played some good footy on the weekend, we could look at him and Dow playing 50% game time each.
Acres is just so frustrating, he is good defensively and can find the ball, maybe have him on the inside for a few CBAs and then on the HB line, just get him off the wing or drop him too.
Bring in Binns and LOB, one has better delivery and the other is young.
Drop Ed and put Cottrell in the middle as a tagger, the kid can run all day, is quick and doesn't mind the contact.
I thought our ball movement was a lot better this week but missing goals is a game killer.
I think I seen that we had below average pressure and they only had average so outside pressure wasn't an issue, but the internal pressure must be up there.
You can't have this many players playing this bad if the issue wasn't above the shoulders.
Missing goals puts pressure on the midfield and defence, every time.

As for spectators abusing players and coaches, get a life.
It's a game we watch, not your life.
We have to be one of the worst clubs on the planet for turning on our players and staff like we are owed something just because we go to games and pay memberships.
They are all humans too with their own problems, unacceptable behaviour and is the main reason other clubs laugh at us.

At the end of r13 Syd GWS and us were 13,14,15 on the ladder
Ess Ade and WBD were 6,7,8
Quite a turnaround
