Rebuilds, this is our 4th 5 year rebuild in twenty years, this five year/66 game reset has lasted 8 years.

Seriously why can't Mirkov play?
He's been in the system a little while now, and is a unit.
Pies played Mason early doors.
Oh but hang on that is player development, right?

Cox had four years of Div 1 basketball under his belt before being recruited to Collingwood. He still sat out for 12 months.

Mirkov coached girls basketball and played ammos.

Chalk & cheese.

Mirkov also can only currently play first ruck, his presence is non-existent in any other position. Even as first ruck he has limited impact around the ground, I’d only consider him if both TDK and Pitt are unavailable.

Yeah but it isn't like Pitto is taking lots of marks around the ground let alone kicking many goals

That is only ok as Pitto is playing first ruck. Which is why I also said that Mirkov would only be ok if he played first ruck. So I guess you’re agreeing with me.

Woke up early this morning and its Game Day

I love game day. There's a game on. Game means entertainment, and my beloved blueboys.

I had a look at the teams again, and glad McDonald is out injured.
This gives us the height needed when Gawn and Grundy do that shepherding thing they do in their forward line.
The Dees forward ball should be intercepted by mark or punched away.
The running defenders will have to watch their man for the short entries and ready to take the ball for a run.

I feel good about our chances.
Its been a rough week.
Channel 9 thrown "The Age's Caroline Wilson" under the bus. Things are turning.

We lose this and we are 3 games out of the 8 with 10 games left.
Win this and we are 1 game out of the 8, with 8th side Effendope next target.

We've lost 3 games from bad kicking at goal. Got smashed in one game vs Crows, so we are not that far off.

Will miss Pitto Newman and Hewett, but we have cover. Go TDK, play like your reputation is on the line.
They're loss of Oliver and McDonald creates a good opportunity for us. Oliver rips teams apart.

I expect a win.

BLUEBAGGERS.

i don't know. i have no faith in this team and the way they play.

even if they somehow get up to their neck in it. they'll bottle the last 5-7 mins.

Sorry to labour the point but if Dow does comes in talk about not giving him any confidence. perhaps they have told him privately. Perhaps

I recall sydney told that dude mitch morton early in the week he was in the gf side, otherwise he would have been a nervous wreck. I think this sort of thinking applies to Dow

And remember , Darcy was out of the game very early last week . Jackson smashed Gawn and Grundy on his own so the Dee's so called ruck ascendancy aint no ascendancy . Get in there Tommy , get in there .

You blokes have convinced me we can win.

I hate what this footy team does to me. Saturday I was throwing all the toys out of the cot & wanting Harry, Weiters, SOS traded. And now I'm back to watching on a friday night again, convinced that theses flower can make our weekend good.

Go Blues.

:banghead:

I almost hope that Cripps doesn’t pass his injury test today and we select Dow instead, it would make us unpredictable as I feel opposition teams base their entire game plan around having an opponent work off Cripps at the start of every play.

From a strategic point of view I'd agree.
However, it won't take them too long to work out they can just ignore him as he won't cause too much damage.
If you wanted to make that kind of a change in the middle, I'd prefer we parked Cripps in the F50 for the whole game.

The club also deals well with low expectations.

Now that the external discussions are finals are out reach we’ll probably win

What makes you believe he'd be selected?
