Inability to move the ball again. Just kick it to Charlie or Harry or kick it in the air to Durdin.

Key tonight was the turnovers....Ed Curnow, Silvagni, Weitering, Acres all at key moments.

So many kicks picking out the opposition spare drifting in front. I guess that can happen too when your ball movement and targets inside 50 are so predictable.

One team had a group of dangerous small forwards. One team has too many butchers.

Actually ended up winning the inside 50s! Contested possessions as well. The effort was there. There isn't enough skill amongst the playing group and ingenuity from the coaching group.

Hence my posts in the match day thread.

Why is it a surprise that they're a 5 goal better side than us? Why do fans spit the dummy and threaten to give up on the club?

Weren't we at the bottom together several years back?

Yes but how is that relevant to tonight?

I believe we have the side but the opposition picks us a part to easily

As I said in the pregame thread Farmer, it went to script.

Tonights game will be another good test on our rebounding transition to scoring, our RBi50 and i50 are all pretty similar, however they are 3 marks i50 better than us per game (probably more considering how many we took last week).

Holland hearing footsteps must be rooming with Young Fisher and Obrien.

Kennedy 13 disposals goal and sets up 2 more. Is he super sub or bad selection.
Poor games from Cripps Walsh and Harry.

Pitto slaughtered for 3 quarters dominated the last.

Weiters worst game since Larkey

Bye Honey

2 goals Motlop more than Fisher has kicked all year.

JSOS good 1st half putrid 2nd half.

Hewett not himself
Cerra and Arces have a crack

Not Newman best game

Ed shutdown Neale.

Thought back to their credit

Bottom of 8 side

Promise everything, deliver nothing.

Until the sides wants it badly enough rather than playing for the paycheque then this is what we get. No way this side should miss finals but we will.

I saw in The Age this morning that a narrow majority of "experts" tipped Carlton which surprised me. The result was about what I expected, we are a middling side at best.

Why does Cerra spend most of first half at HB?
Why don’t we go back to our midfield of last year that worked well? Cripps Hewett Kennedy Walsh Cerra Docherty?
Do we work on skills at all?
On paper our side looks better than it performs
Our forward movement and ball use to it is a disaster
I question the toughness of Young & Weitering

To add insult to injury, trains aren't running on the Caulfield line.

Bottom of the 8?

You sir are taking the piss.

Anything even closely resembling that system, game plan, matchday coaching etc etc etc, over the next two or so games will effectively kill any even remote likelihood of us being or deserving to be in the top 8.

IN a year where making the 8 is absolutely 100000000% not negotiable or acceptable... WTF or where the hell is this team?????

Brisbane have won 5 in a row, they're the form team of the comp. Let's not forget they destroyed the best team in AFL history, kicked 10 in a row against them. If we weren't allowed to be happy about beating WCE by 108, why should we slash wrists over losing to BL by 26?

As many have said, it's all about the skills. Not about effort, not about courage, not about socks. I've lost count of the number of times we've kicked 90% of our goals in the 1st and 4th Qs when the pace is electric, but lost the game in the middle half when we lack the precision or nous to score in a low tempo game. Not sure how we're going to fix this. Just hope we've got enough about us to make finals, we won't win a flag with this squad but at least let's make it enjoyable.
