I am really saddened by this. Blue Sombrero and I shared a time zone and so we often responded to each other’s posts when everyone else was asleep. He was smart, passionate and always fair and the distance never diminished his love for our club. I will truly miss him and may he Rest In Peace. Condolences to his family.
Beautifully put, I look forward to raising a glass to those we've lost at the next TC gathering

Such sad news. Like many others on here, a quick scan through Blue Sombrero’s work was part of my morning routine for so long.

RIP great man.

Yes very sad news - all the more sadder some of the original/older posters are “leaving the building” so to speak without seeing just one more flag.

Condolences to his friends and family.

Sad to hear... wondered why he hadn't posted in a while

Will always remember him lamenting the loss of sleep in the game day threads after yet another poor Carlton performance.

terribly sad news, i feel for his lovely wife

we met him in Progresso a few years back and he took us around and to his wife's brother's restaurant for some amazing ceviche

he was a genuine, lovely man, and was extremely appreciative of the vegemite we used to send him

i have been wondering for a while why he hadnt been on th site, and not responded to any of my messages - i thought he had just had enough of tc

sad day - thanks for letting us all know. i'm gonna get a small bottle of mescal in his honour

RIP Gavan

Sad news.
He was always up at some crazy hour to watch his beloved blues. Great contributor to the board.
RIP.

Oh wow. This is indeed sad news. I had wondered what happened to him as he was such a regular contributor. It's funny, even though I never met BS or Moshe, hearing of their passing in the last 12 months has genuinely made me sad. I think I'd be the same for a great many of the contributors to this forum. Take care everyone
