RIP Blue Sombrero

Always appreciated his post round views on each player. Didn’t always agree which was perfect in itself.

ell that's [REDACTED].

Thanks for the news...Top fella...just stopped contact last year.

We were in contact regularly. He put me onto a good travel club.

Was going to visit him in Mexico before he sold his place a block from the beach...the place was changing.
He was very welcoming, and looking forward to the visit...show me the sights.

Covid postponed any travel overseas..I will never meet him face to face.

Blue Beattle was his mate ... army mate

Gorgeous wife ...ex air hostess. Happy as....3 kids

He loved living in Mehico...place was getting a bit strange towards americans

Old St Pats boy in Ballarat.

He loved Carlton. True Blue

RIP amigo

Terrible news.
So sad. Really loved his overnight posts.
And his commitment to watching games in the middle of the night even though, let's face it, we were rarely likely to win!
Really heartwarming to see such nice response from his TC amigos.
RIP Blue Sombrero!

Pretty jarring to find out. Like bondi I had signed up to Gavan's travel club but COVID hadn't allowed me to take advantage of it.
Weird how the loss of someone who you've never met in person can have a very real impact, yesterday was surreal.

I had wondered what had happened to BS, as I often do with absent TC posters. Even though I don't always agree with everyone here you're basically my internet family.

I used to love his handle initials, & the way he was referred to as BS

I think even the man himself admitted at one stage he'd done a bit of a face palm once he realised what he'd created there

Yes well summed up. It really hit me yesterday how much of a part of the furniture he was in this place

I am really saddened by this. Blue Sombrero and I shared a time zone and so we often responded to each other’s posts when everyone else was asleep. He was smart, passionate and always fair and the distance never diminished his love for our club. I will truly miss him and may he Rest In Peace. Condolences to his family.
