I have to wonder, who’d want to work at Carlton, or under Teague.

I think we’re in a world of pain and I have no idea what might fix it

As a supporter/member, I'd like to work at/for Carlton.

Some dietary guidelines, for starters.

I've endured some pretty God awful performances over the last 20 years but fmd, that was up there with the worst of them. Goalless second half. 19 goal run for Port. It looked like a training drill.

1 more week of this garbage.

How are we back here again. This endless cycle of shit. I just don't know how much more I can take. Think I'm just about done.

The terrible thing about the last 3 weeks is we've started doing 2 things we held off for the main part of the season.

1. Losing games against bottom sides
2. Getting thrashed

As uninspiring as we've been this year, for the most part we did at least win those games against low teams that we were expected to win. And most losses were 20-something margins.

But the last 3 weeks have been Pagan era stuff.

What did you all seriously expect? Put everyone in for surgery against a top 4 side at home. It was shit but who cares at this point.

Feel sorry for Murph he deserved a better effort than that last 2.5 quarters from the team.
Game passed him 18 months ago but deserves to be in the list of all time games at Carlton. He gave his all for a long time in some VFL standard teams let’s be honest. Hat off to him not sure I would have hung around so long.
Gotta feel for Teague too not many coaches last after that sort of defeat especially at Carlton

That was a Bolton/Paganesque defeat that happened many times. Under Teague, until today, we had suffered anything close to that, always competitive on the scoreboard. Just shows the players have given up on Teague, as they have with our other coaches. My worry, after 20 years of this rubbish, is will be be able to attract a coach. They would know there is every chance their reputation would be left in total tatters with no chance then of another senior job.

Unless we fix player culture and their lack of motivation and will to succeed then the club is fk'ed for years. I got lucky to see 8 flags but it must kill younger supporters.

Yep team culture takes years to build it doesn't take 1-2 years as some wish. If you want long term sustained success they you need one coach to instil it. Be patient back them in to get the players he wants to play the brand he wants. Is the only way. Hinkley has been at Port for 10 years and hasnt won a flag.

Clarkson and Lyon are too old to do that.

You are so hilarious mate, you are surely related to Teague somehow !!

I really hope you are going to be ok when he leaves. Just know we are all here for you !!

OK, so Zac Butters hit Saad to the throat. Fox just highlighted it

I wonder if the AFL will consider sending Carlton to Tassie. Just like Swans and Lions were prior to being shipped out, we are long term cellar dwellers with an ingrained loser culture. We are a joke, and fast becoming irrelevant in Victoria. Then again, would Tassie want us?

A club that is debt free, developing the home of AFLW, yep, makes sense.

Debt free, loyal following, large membership. All big positives when trying to establish a club in Tassie. I can just see Gil rubbing his hands together at the prospect. That leaves PP as the home of the AFLW without having to worry about that pesky AFL team there cluttering up the place too. Draft concessions, an academy with first choice of Tasmanian players, I'm getting dizzy thinking about it. It will be the making of a proud new dynasty for the mighty Tassie Blues! Tasmania is now going ahead in leaps and bounds, our future there would be one of packed grounds every week and riches and premierships beyond our wildest dreams.

There are many issues but having underperforming players on big contracts won’t help

Not sure where we go from here

Come on walshy, if setterfield played, we would have lost by 25 goals. And I was a fan of his when he came across

Cripps
McKay
Docherty
Williams
Martin
Jack
Gibbons
Pittonet
Marchbank
Cunningham
Setterfield

all missing or to apply pressure for spots.

Besides all that - even if they did play midfield would have still sucked.
