I like Jack in the ruck. It forces our mids to be accountable and Jacks ground work is very good.

I have no problem with him being our 2nd ruck but I don’t want him as our #1 ruckman week after week. Hopefully TDK is back pretty soon.

Virtually best on ground.
Might not be long term but worth persisting short term

Danger signs next week GC got belted by 99 points so we need to be ready for a response
Meet the heat early bring our own heat get in front and then kick a few and hopefully they will fall away

Doubt Dew will be coach, not that Carlton scout the opposition anyway.

GCS inspid

They have faded very badly in the last 6 games for as long as I remember.

Strange phenomenon.

We have failed to build percentage in games we could have against Freo and Saints...we faded in the last.

Need Dogs to beat Essendon*, North to beat Richmond and Brisbane to beat Freo, and us to win of course, and we sit in the 8.

Given the revised fixture, we are first up Saturday. A win then puts us in the 8 for a couple of hours at least.

I hope they don’t sack Dew mid week

I think you'll find it's pronounced SAKC

Good chance of thoe results.

Players MUST know that the pressure they brought against the Saints pays dividends, and they can do it...if they remember what they did.

This team has the capacity of winning 2 games in a row; that's it though.

Jack vs Zac Smith 206cm 105 kg

Chris Burgess rotated with Zac and he's 191cm 82kg

Zac isn't an AA ruckman like Grundy Goldstein and Gawn.

Rohan Marshall 201cm ruck from Saints had it all over Jack in the ruck, but on the ground.....another story.

Mids have to play man on man again to be where the ball is likely to be tapped, and Jack can do the mopping up if our mids take their mids out of the contest

Touk Miller...is their play maker.

Swallow and Anderson make up their starting midfield group.

Matt Rowell has been quieter since his return from injury.

Ed to Miller, just to shut him out of the game.

Well, apparently Betts and De Koning are tests for the weekend. That means that the only real question is if we bring Betts back in and if we select McGovern or not.

I'd probably go:

Stocker - Jones - Plowman
Saad - Weitering - Newman
Walsh - Cripps - O'Brien
Honey - Curnow - Martin
Silvagni - McKay - Betts
De Koning - Dow - Kennedy

INT: Williamson - Newnes - Fisher - E. Curnow
Sub: Murphy

McGovern to come in if De Koning doesn't get up for some reason.

I'm thinking the Suns have put the cue in the rack for 2021. 8 unanswered goals to the Dees.

Big chance for the Carlton kids to really get some confidence next round.

So which kids do we play.

Owies is due for a rest; TDK injured; Williamson omitted. That is 3.

Ramsay; Kemp; and McGovern for experience and the ruck.

One game in the VFL enough of a wake up for SPS?

Hopefully CAS gets up if TDK doesn’t.

I think I'd prefer we went with the smaller ruck option again
