So our Teams lack of tackling was a major reason why we capitulated last week yet we drop SPS who had the 2nd most tackles for the team and was in our top 5 for pressure acts.
Once again Teague proves his favouritism towards the senior players and the treatment of SPS is disgraceful.

Why O’Brien and not Ramsay

The question should be why Plowman not Kemp???
If your gonna drop SPS for 1 sub par game then what's Plowman or Newman's excuse.
Another week another selection NON integrity.
If anyone is expecting a different result good luck.
The lack of accountability on Senior players is nothing short of disgraceful.
The senior players will continue to take short cuts coz they know deep down whatever mistakes or lack of effort given then they will not be dropped.

Agreed
I think their giving O’Brien one last chance
Pick 10 contract up last chance buddy

Shit club.
Bring in someone that hasnt played in two years without any form.
The reason we have been a pathetic club for the last twenty odd years.

We all knew they’d pull this stunt after the week we’ve had.

Yeah he tackled when they landed in his arms. His efforts to stick a tackle was another story, then the chase...he was exposed by every channel in the media for many different instances. Deserves to be dropped. So do others.

Glad Harry and Charlie are back in, we have something to aim for. Jack off the leash will be interesting too.

I think there's other reasons for our failures in the last 20 years. Curnow has only been around for 4, and he makes us better.

There's some players who are just good better than others available. He played OK in the 2 scratch matches from all reports.

Judd didnt need reserves games to know he was better

Bradley was like that.

Diesel was like that.

Curnow is like that...I think...lets just wait and see.

I prefer Curnow in the forward line than Cripps and kennedy in key posts.

What? OBrien.

Good idea to raise his trade value.

I hope he plays a blinder on a wing. Better option than Cottrell...hopefully

I reckon H will play even on one leg - club will do everything to ensure he gets coleman medal.

He'll just get alot of strapping on his foot and walk funny

Four plus two years off the field.
Two years off and not even a gallop in a low intensity scratch match.
I am glad he is back bondi but there is a serious lack of standards and ethics presented to certain integral players regardless of form or fitness.
Standards must be set and adhered to.

Agreed.

IMO Harry hasn't been in good form in most games this year for one reason or another.
Regardless of that, the fact is he kicks 3 goals a game and leading the Coleman.
That's right, even when he was falling over, slipping, not reading the ball, not chasing, no 2nd effort, spoiling team mates...etc
If he can do that he can kick 2 goals on one foot tomorrow.

Coming in with Charlie is a privilege for both.
They will pump each other up. They know what we need to do tomorrow.

Midfield know what they have to do.
Midfield doesn't have to change game plan or adapt one with the big boys ahead of them.
This is Teague's bread and butter.

The outcome of the game will be determined by

Ryder and Marshall vs TDK and ....Jacks much too small. Jones with Weiters minding Marshall or King.
Certainly not Harry or Charlie.

The 22yo skinny kid in the ruck needs support.

Lol half the people want SPS shifted the other half want him picked regardless of form or output.

Fwiw I’d have kept him in but he was one of a number who could of been dropped.

Yeah I get you. Their standards and Charlie are different but one of the same in this debate.

Charlie is Top Shelf. He's strong, and not match fit. But he's an endurance beast, so he's not average.
He's better than kemp and Ramsay and Honey. They'd know that just seeing him on the track.

We are depleted...and I, like Teague and carlton supporters want the chance to beat the Saints and Gold Coast, to finish off the season.
Charlie gives a better chance and with Harry next to him. It could give the Midfield something they haven't had for 2 years. Something further up to connect with.
I love the idea of Charlie running up on a lead jumping at the ball, not pack contesting. No one likes that, and we can't protect him in that situation. Thats football.

He should run out of puff, but that's part of his development. Only 4 more games to wind up for 2022 preseason, and/or finals and this week is really important for the club and its supporters. How we bounce back.
