Would the Saints want to give us Ratten back?
Would we want him?

I will straight up run around the block naked at midday the following day if we beat Port.

They are a professional organisation from top to bottom and we're not a stud on their boots at the moment.

At the start of this thread, I voted Voss. I still think he would be the way to go.
Our players obviously like Teague, but they don't fear him. By that I mean a spray from DT probably has little or no impact. Because they would see that as him acting
out of character.
However (I'd imagine) an angry Voss on the rampage would spare no one. And it would get personal, very personal. I don't think that's happening now. But it's what is needed. Voss would be a bastard when required, and bully so called professional footballers into being what they're paid to be.
So for me it's Voss in, keep Power, get Hamill, and clean out the rest of the assistants.

I wouldn't be against that except Hamill .

Only 2 voted for Voss.

I admit I am the other. Still think he is the one. Far more experience than when he was head coach at the bears, less divisive than Clarkson and as he would come cheaper more money in the soft cap for decent assistants.

Teague is going to be another victim of a bad culture but unfortunately he's not likely to be coaching. Probably look at Don Pyke.
Carlton doesn't have a bad culture they have the exact opposite they have a very good culture . All the players and people at the club are super nice and polite. They are respectful and engaging with the fans.
There is not one player you would feel uncomfortable if your daughter was dating them.
You couldn't have a nicer more pleasant working environment. There is no pressure to perform and the younger players always give up their seat for the senior players.
No idea how you could consider this bad culture

That's over simplistic imo
People learn from their experiences.
Voss became a senior coach too early.
Not saying he's our guy but I wouldn't rule him out purely on his record at lions.

Agree

He's in a much better space now than he was when he took the job as coach without having done his apprenticeship and exposed to other systems and coaches.

Any proven coach would also be worth considering because the time for change is NOW.

Take the best available. Voss would be good imo.

I have been a DT believer for a while; however, the North and GC games have left me, um, very deflated  I can't help making a comparison that if the powers-that-be chose an experienced coach, it would be like the transition from Jesaulenko to Parkin between 1989-91. I have had a nagging feeling DT was appointed not because the players wanted him (yes, that helps); but because the group was so demoralised by the entrenched losses of the latter stages of the Bolton reign, they needed a coach to reaffirm the enjoyment of the game. Now, the players know they can play- however, they do need an astute tactician with a good, clear message on the methods and plays of how they play the game. And play it with a hard edge

Same. I don't have the same anti Clarkson hate as others, but Hamill can flower off.

Buckley , Lyon , Clarkson or my preference Don Pyke , whomever is interested in coming over , not fussed let’s just get it done, there’s a football department to rebuild too, administrators to be shuffled around or booted out, a heap of overhauling.

I saw what Clarkson did to the phone yesterday in the coaches box. Some of the players could use a spray like he did to the phone.

Last thing i want in this club is an already failed coach.

Jim on the surface he did fail at Brisbane. Possibly because he went from being a team mate to coach too quickly. He went from being ''a good bloke'' to a ''prick''.
And he fell out with some, Daniel Bradshaw for eg. He may have been too close to that group, to transition smoothly.
If he came to Carlton he would walk in not owing anybody anything. Just lay down the law of My Way Or The Highway. Be the prick this team needs.
