Based on the above, I'd back Kingsley to be the more likely to qualify what Cripps' role is next season and get him back to somewhere near his best, as well as fix our defensive structures to meet our strengths, but I'd back Voss to be the guy that can turn our culture around into something special.

In reality that's an argument between the board wanting to take Collingwood's sloppy seconds vs. a coach they're not going to back in long enough to make that happen.

I’ll be happy with any of Clarkson, Pyke, Voss, Kingsley or Yze. and possibly Gia.
As long as we have Cook, Parkin & Williams making the call, I’m good with it.
(If just be a bit concerned if we lure Clarkson with a godfather offer about whether his heart is really in it and therefore whether we’ll get his best…)

Kingsley worries me. He reminds me of John Barker. Has been around a long time as bridesmaid. Has done all the courses possible. I dont know, John Barker. Eeeekkkkkk Vibes.

He has been out of the game a long time. Why is he in vogue all of a sudden. ?

Just because Collingwood interviewed him?

Looks like it's gonna be Voss.

Barass confirmed it before the post disappeared.

EDIT: Hold that, turns out Lyon could still be a shot.

Barass said that Cook is a big Lyon fan. So if Clarkson or Lyon knock us back. It’s Voss..

Of the assistants, Voss has coached before. And he is one hellava leader.
And IIRC his start to coaching wasn’t too bad until he misjudged his list and traded for Fev after which it all went pear shaped.

Now Ockams Razor said that Lyon has renewed his interest.

Lyon doesnt inspire me. I’m sorry I know he has lots of fans.

Voss doesnt either but he seems eager and learned from his past mistakes.

I dont know. My head hurts.

To me if someone doesn't want to go through the hard work of a presentation and interview then they are the wrong person to expect that the players will go through the hard work in the pre-season and games. We need a coach that is going to lead by their example not take the easy way out.

What how anti climatic……. Voss. Oh geez.

Yes, why would you go down the path of a failed coach when there are a number of other choices. He had a worse win/loss record than Teague and set Brisbane back years. No-one knows if he is a better head coach, just gambling.

I may be wrong but I remember Brisbane were on the rise and played finals under Voss then he topped up with Fev and others and that set them back.

I’m quite sure a panel including (among other things) a 2-time Brownlow medallist and multiple premiership winning coach might know a bit more about what makes a good coach than we do.

I'm very happy to look at the coaching CV. It failed. That should tell you enough. So you are gambling that he is better. Panels have screwed up big time before. Think you know that.
