Maybe people voted twice. :smoking:

Stop the steal...

Don't think Clarko is a good fit for our list and recon he's going to the filth, and he'll be good for them... which would make me hate them even more

You're always rational camel.

Gonna be a bit awkward when he's announced by another club in a month or so.

Can anyone confirm the word that the Club has Clarko lined up on a 5 year deal?

Would not surprise me in the slightest.

Not a bad resume'

Clarkson proteges

A number of Alastair Clarkson's assistants have gone on to coach at senior level in the AFL.

Damien Hardwick, Richmond (2010–present, 2017, 2019 and 2020 premiership coach)
Todd Viney, Melbourne (2011 caretaker coach)
Leon Cameron, Greater Western Sydney (2014–present)
Adam Simpson, West Coast (2014–present, 2018 premiership coach)
Luke Beveridge, Western Bulldogs (2015–present, 2016 premiership coach)
John Barker, Carlton (2015 caretaker coach)
Brendon Bolton, Carlton (2016–2019)1
Chris Fagan, Brisbane Lions (2017–present)
Brett Ratten, St Kilda (2019 caretaker coach, 2020–present)2

1 Bolton returned to Hawthorn soon after his tenure as Carlton coach ended in round 11, 2019.
2 Ratten had previously coached at Carlton between 2007 and 2012 before joining Hawthorn as an assistant coach in 2013.

Great question that has been thrown around here and in the media. If Clarkson came, would Bolton come with? I think he would. I doubt he likes the 'Unfinished Business' on his CV.

We have dual captains maybe what we really need is dual coaches!

Give Teague the forward line - we score better with him than we have for ages.

Give Bolton the backline - our defence under him was pretty good.

We don’t have a midfield so no coach needed.

Job done.

I’m pretty good at this outside the box shit!

Carlton, where old, cooked former gun coaches come to die and collect their superannuation.

Clearly the 24 posters who voted for Ross “ The Toss” Lyon are not female employees of the Carlton Footy Club
We are [REDACTED] if we get him

He's a bogan like most in in the AFL, including the AFL Commissioners.

Its still one big boys club, and the older gen are finding out how to behave the hard way.

He has tarnished his brand, but moreso because the AFL Commissioners tried to help him by down playing the incident.

That shows to me whoever picked the Assistants did a great job. Not all, but some.

Maybe some of them were the reason Clarkson was successful, moreso than what Clarkson bought to the club. ie good recruitment.

Some of those names got jobs because they were part of the successful team at Hawks, similar to what happened to Collingwood's Assistants after 2010 Flag and Cats too after their flags. Men in demand because of the perception they have IP to unlock the secret to winning a flag. Obviously 3 of them had what it takes.

Just sayin', like you are.

Would we be redacted because of the alleged sexual harrassment causing issues at Carlton, or because he is a weak coach?

serious question.

Teague is going to be another victim of a bad culture but unfortunately he's not likely to be coaching. Probably look at Don Pyke.

Carlton doesn't have a bad culture they have the exact opposite they have a very good culture . All the players and people at the club are super nice and polite. They are respectful and engaging with the fans.
There is not one player you would feel uncomfortable if your daughter was dating them.
You couldn't have a nicer more pleasant working environment. There is no pressure to perform and the younger players always give up their seat for the senior players.
No idea how you could consider this bad culture
