Why? Knows what winning flags is all about as player, assistant coach and has been a senior coach.

He has some vigour in him and I think he would set the bar very, very high.

His senior coaching record was abominable.

Yep but....

3 cups as a player and 227 games

3 seasons as Coach.

4 seasons as assistant to Hardwick and 3 cups.

Not a bad CV. I'm thinking the 4 season under Hardwick has made him a better Coach.

Out of all those list in the thread, I'm pretty sure only Clarkson has a better resume.

Regards Cazzesman

On a similar note I have gone with Voss. Originally a Victorian, his playing record speaks for itself, learnt about senior coaching the hard way with his old team and has continued learning with Port as an assistant and maybe was an assistant at the eagles?

Anybody picked must have prior experience and discipline based on Bolton and Teague.

I thought the same. And went for Voss in a photo finish over Williams. Yeah he is originally a Victorian and childhood Blues fan, which really doesn't mean much, but I think he might be the hardarse we need. Don't think he's a dill and would have learnt plenty since his last senior gig.

Won't matter. Unless the playing culture improves then we just kill another coach. Only the players can sort that. Leadership and real peer pressure to perform is needed.

For now I just stuck with Teague. No other poor sucker deserves what we dish up.

Agree with this wholeheartedly, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he resigned this week anyway, who would want to coach our bunch of looser players?

I don't want to sakc another coach... hate the fact that we may have to

The messiah coach has not been kind to us... Lyon over Clarkson if we go that way

Otherwise Brad Scott over another newbie

Could or should? Big difference.

Could? Lyon at the moment, he’s available…at least to play clean up crew and instill structure and basic non-negotiables/discipline, as a year with potential option for a second while we find who should, which pains me to say probably is Clarkson.

Lyon’s my back for now.

Brad Scott. He is the best person to change our culture and add the mongrel our players need.

I went for Scott.

Four years of finals in ten years including two prelims at the most under resourced club in the competition is a fair effort.

Imagine if he was at a club with greater resources.

He’s also a bit of an arsehole which we definitely need.

I voted Lyon. We need discipline and defensive structures. He offers both as well as a burning desire. Wouldn't be disappointed in Brad Scott though

You know what, I actually don't care anymore as long as we can stop being so continually disappointing.

I wouldn't mind that. Our 2022 membership campaign could be:

I voted Lyon, would go Scott as second choice.

Not sure why people would choose Teague, found that interesting.

Pyke if I had to choose. Got a club into a GF with an average list and Sydney have accelerated significantly since he turned up.
The camp fiasco was a @#$%&! up but mistakes were made and owned. I put that more on Brett Burton than Pyke.

I'm in this school of thought.
