Interesting perspective from Cerra. Everyone is different though.

Cerra is not going to be critical of his current coach

No one would because if he ends up staying how would that go down

I would read nothing into what he said

Maybe Cerra thinks Lyon doesn't rate him and is being preemptive about us going cold if he gets the job?

Lyon said on FC a few weeks ago that he'd trade SPS and Fisher for Cerra coz that's how much he rates the kid and has worked with him previously

Good. Let them sook it up. You know who controls the team: the coach!

Too much tail wagging the dog at our club and it must stop.

Lyon doesn't "believe" in them because they're pea hearted, conditional, flashy types who got way ahead of themselves and weren't brought back down to earth as they should've been.

Interesting to note that the Pies are sounding out Brad Lloyd for their footy dept. Perhaps he's told them that Lyon is on his way to Carlton. Don't think things were sweet at Freo between them.

Going well thanks, mate. Definitely light at the tunnels end. The tunnel has just been growing too much of late, but the light is there!

Hope to run into you again at the footy again soon Mickstar!

Well doesn't their situation sound a lot like ours at the moment.
In this interview he has either told the board his expectations and what needs to be done first or he has sent a message that he won't be coming because we are not capable of doing what needs to be done.
The board should put their money and their egos aside and do whatever is required to get him, even if it means resigning for the betterment of the club they supposedly love and support.
If we miss out on Clarkson the board has failed and failed miserably (more so than appointing two rookie coaches back to back and expecting miracles).
He clearly is the right person to instil all the right values and morals to develop the players as well as build the culture we have all felt is missing.
We need unity and that's what he'll bring if he puts his hand up. And that will be the first step to #17.

Good find Cazz.

Agree, so much like our current predicament.

He's incredibly intelligent Clarko.

Well close the thread coz watching FC tonight Ross the boss virtually announced he will coach us and he knocked back the pies.
Watching ED squirm when Ross told him that if he was president he would have been the pies coach.

Welcome back to Carlton Ross

Did say Clarkson was favourite and should be favourite for Carlton job but did seem a deflection rather than his view

As I wrote on the Alistair Clarkson thread, CLarko this morning said he's going to take a year off.
