Pyke if I had to choose. Got a club into a GF with an average list and Sydney have accelerated significantly since he turned up.
The camp fiasco was a @#$%&! up but mistakes were made and owned. I put that more on Brett Burton than Pyke.

What do you mean if I had to vote?

This is a voting thread.
Compulsory voting if you're over 18 in this country.

Vote 1 Pyke.

Who really knows? Perception, Timing, Energy...a lot of things have to go right for the Premiership Coach, let alone Top 4 Coach.

I'd prefer Lyon over Pyke if it was out of those two. Understand Pyke is highly regarded but I never really rated that Adelaide side, thought they were brittle.

We need system, defence and a bit of C. Lyon brings all that.

But Pyke got a brittle team to the Big dance.

They didn't keep things simple on the big day with that power stance...

I know Swans think he's the ants pants and can't believe they got him as an Assistant.

A couple Swans tell me he has been fantastic teaching them the game and how to go about things on the field.

I wont be unhappy if we get Lyon IF his desire for a flag is still burning inside.

Coming down to two candidates... Leppa is not interested in the job only has interest as Head of Football or Football Director

Ross Lyon - good luck stomaching watching 18 players behind the ball then giving opposition enough time to put 18 players behind the ball....Reason he hasnt won a flag his methods are shit.
Brad Scott - Not liked at NM and will bring a flair of Sports Science bullshit to the team - probably keen to set up an injection room behind a Carlton restaurant somewhere.

I'm over selecting Green coaches with doubts
I'm over getting has been coaches coming for their super.

I want a well rounded coach whose been around for a while, highly regarded and success follows him wherever he goes.

At the moment for me, my gut says someone like Caracella or Yze, I'm hearing great stuff about Daly and Kinsley.

No baggage types.

Hey if I could snag Lyon, and Carlton Respects forgives him, and he's hungry for a Premiership, I'm all in, but a bit of baggage there.

So I'd look far and wide for the best untried first coach first.

My man?

He is a Carlton man - not mine.

He belongs to all of us - stings you doesn't it?

Ross Lyon will get us out of the rut we’re in, may take him a while but he’s got the expertise and mentoring ability.

The number of votes for Ross Lyon is disturbing.

The timing of this announcement tells me clarko is coming to us. We’re surely a more attractive prospect. Much better list, particularly our younger players

Clarko has played everyone and played his cards well.

Kennett probably thought Clarko, with one year left on his contract would look elsewhere if he wasn't wanted as coach at the Hawks. But Clarkson said he would honour his contract.

Its looking like Caroline Wilson was right about the "mediation" meeting.

Kennett realised Clarkson would stay, and this must not have been his expectation, or plan, so he's agreed to pay him out to avoid a Woosha'Rutten clash of ideals.

Now, Clarkson takles his cool $1.3M??? from Hawks and agrees to offers which have been fielded by Carlton and Collingwood: 2 Power clubs of Melbourne. He will probably go to the highest bidder starting I guess higher than what he was paid at Hawks, I'm guessing a compelling $1.7M??? assuming the reported current salary is $1.3M??

No way should Carlton give this guy his anti carlton crusader a superannuation payment.

He was dropped from the Hawks because he's crap like the rest without the cattle and no help from the AFL with Priority Draft picks that netted them Roughead and Buddy, plus all the rest from the ridiculous Free Agency rules that were suppose to help struggling clubs but instead topped up the Premiers.

Anyway, Clarkson did say he was ready to be a farmer now that his son is finishing his hsc this year. How could you believe a lying, cheating, angry coward puncher?

NO WAY TO CLARKSON.. HASBEEN.

If it's a choice between has beens of Lyon and Clarkson, you'd have to go for the one who's actually won something I guess.
