Effort was there done well in tackles and 1% ers

Wasting energy to throw hissy fits. Hopefully Harry, Charlie & Levi come into the side next week

Not sure why I still care about this club.

I could take 5 - 10 years of mediocrity, considering the successful history of this club

But 20 years of absolute rubbish is beyond the pale, with no end in sight

Surely it’s time for the club to make significant change to the board

A football department review won’t cut it

Can someone find some bullshit mystical mathematical equation that means we can still make the 8 so some of the wowsers can continue to ignore the painful truth?

Due to the lack of talls I was hoping to see something different in our structures... nothing... still bombed to a packed f50

In the end we were beaten badly by the bottom team... can't think of a single player that won his position with any great certainty

No positives whatsoever...

If by tackles you mean holding waists like a full ballroom doing the waltz, then sure

Fancy going on tele at half time, saying we needed to tighten up on our defence against slingshot and transition, then coming out and having seven put on you in the exact same way. Going to be a fascinating week for ol Walshy.

No, I predicted a loss in the pre match thread.

It is the way we were slaughtered today that is concerning. Especially with a first quarter dominance that should have seen us 4-5 goals up.

That 7 goal run in the 3rd quarter should see the end of Teague as coach. He has no answers when things aren't going our way. Not good enough after all this time. Rinse, wash, repeat.

At least we don't have to worry about finals talk any more. Just book Cripps and others carrying injuries into surgery ASAP and play the kids from the VFL. Nothing to lose now.

Half expected a loss with what we put out there. Didn't expect that 2nd half.

We don't have that inner drive to consistently play with intensity every week. We did it for a few weeks after the bye but the motivation isn't there to keep doing it. External motivation was there, a shot at the 8, but the problem is the players have to care enough.

Reminded me of the Gold Coast game in 2012. Had to win to make the finals and we showed a complete lack of effort. Stamped Ratten's papers, something we have paid for ever since. We need to get to the root of the problem in the club otherwise nothing is fixed. We will continue to waste year after year.

Missing midfield quality and a ruck.

As if Goldstein wasn't going to dominate today

Just some feedback from the game thread:

- TDK did not give Goldstein a touch up. He lost the ruck duel. That doesn’t detract from his potential though.
- I disagree with all of the ‘get Cripps out of the midfield’ comments. He’s a high level midfielder. Elite at his best. Play him there. Find a structure that works to his strengths. We target him at centre bounces a lot, mostly forward of the contest, and mostly lose the clearance through easy backwards release handballs by our opposition. Find a better setup, mix it up a bit more, have some defensive strategy at the stoppages. Surely we can play our best clearance midfielder at the clearances?! He still had 21 disposals and 3 goals today, so he’s not as finished as the game day thread would have you believe.
- Out defensive issues are not personnel (back 6) related. It’s structural and work rate further up the field. I pity Weitering, Jones and Plowman who get exposed so often because of what happens further up the ground.
- injuries haven’t helped, but our list has been short of 2 KPP’s all season.

Not sure what you mean but I am sure you have seen how many tap outs to advantage resulted to clearances.

It wasn't TDK as much as he did ok but still beaten... had a field day on young Jackety Jack perhaps its your eyes buddy.
