That doesn't make Teague the right man as Head Coach.

Just sayin'. I don't know.

We won't know the full potential of this squad until we get to the injury lists of top four sides meaning zero key players injured.

Zero rookies playing excess 10 games per year
Zero VFL type players getting a game after a handful of decent VFL games
Dropping what seems a good AFL player to the VFL to get better

Until then - just need to keep working and hope our injury list is as good as Bulldogs, Melbourne, Geelong

Richmond have few injuries and cant make the eight.

Talent on the park today wasn't great not even good.

We've lost to the bottom team 8 years in a row.

But yeah, injuries....

it is quite a damning statistic

Positive: possibly gave Hawks the spoon today

Negative: Eddie Maguire banging on about North sticking it up their silvertail rivals. Give us a spell dude, you live in Toorak

If he loses the players then its curtains for him.

He is too good of a coach to let that happen - too many years in AFL environment.

Take to the bank , Teague is done !! He won’t be coaching this club next year !! So please stop going on about Him

The 3rd qtr typified his reign for the last 2 or so years

He lost to a team that lost by 25 goals only 10 weeks ago and we were incompetent against Them

Everyone get grip and just let that set in for moment

That fine and in two years time when things havent improved under Clarkson, Lyon or whoever... you can all prattle so he gets the sack too and I will be double delighted because that would mean Sayers will need to step down.

True, but most out there today would be in our best 22 with or without injuries.
A lot of weak efforts today and a lack of structure and cohesion. Mentally and physically weak.

I know, I know, but that implies the last 3 wins are due to weak opposition on the day.

What I'm saying is whilst some of our best 22 are playing for Carlton, we will still struggle against the top 4 teams.

When the pressure is on us to perform and take the next step, we can’t do it.
This is truly above the shoulders.

Today we lacked height through the team but if we kicked the early goals, the team confidence would have lifted us through the game.

We are a very mentally weak team but the talent is there. The issue isn’t talent.

Fair enough comment by Ed.

You know back in the heady 80's when Elliot bought half of the NM shares in his quest to get Wayne Carey.
That plan came undone. He acted like a silvertail and NM have never forgotten it.

Pretty hard to play without any key position players without training it.

i agree. we need someone to get through their heads. do we have a sports psychologist?

we also need a coach who can install a winning culture into them

True

Our boys don't run hard enough, tackle hard enough and spread quick enough.

Mentally weak.

Preseason needs to change a bit. Let Russell take a back seat and work on the team's desire, and mongrel.
I'm sick of watching nice well behaved nancy boys.

There's something amiss between the ears of too many playing today, with the exception of

Weitering
Walsh
Williams
Betts
Silvagni
TDK
Stocker
Saad
Dow
TDK
Newnes :yikes:

Hey some of the above can work on finding a bit of mongrel at this level, but they were up for the fight.
Once Williams and Betts went down, that's only 9 trying hard. IMO

Come on Don, you're telling the story.

I've already gone to Herald Sun's Mark Robinson with that headline  and collected the cheque.

Chasing tales when losing clearances like we did today and when the boys tried to make something happen and get a goal back there was no one forward to depend on. Basically there was a luck of trust moving the ball forward unfortunately for us.. North's disposal efficiency today was 80% which is crazy high... they were too good on the day.
