Pros:
- the office is closed
- no one up here gives a crap about Carlton v NM anyway
- we're all one day closer to being free of the club

Wasting energy to throw hissy fits. Hopefully Harry, Charlie & Levi come into the side next week

If by tackles you mean holding waists like a full ballroom doing the waltz, then sure

Missing midfield quality and a ruck.

As if Goldstein wasn't going to dominate today

I swear your eyes are painted on.

Not sure what you mean but I am sure you have seen how many tap outs to advantage resulted to clearances.

It wasn't TDK as much as he did ok but still beaten... had a field day on young Jackety Jack perhaps its your eyes buddy.

"Well done in tackles".
Painted on.

If we win the last 4, including Port in Adelaide...lol.

You did ask for mathematical....lol.

Great, we’ve got at least another week of that nonsense then

It is going to be a very long last 4 weeks
Could see a loss coming all week, even before H went out, because this club just doesn’t get it and has only beaten up on garbage teams this year due to short bursts of good play and individual brilliance
Anyone can get us and they know it because we are mentally weak
Coach would be very lucky to survive this but, at this point, what is the guarantee that we will be any good with a new coach. Some of our players efforts are embarrassing
Need a strong leader who can (a) weed out the non-competitors and (b) bring an AFL standard game plan

Other than crossing over for a score I have seen nothing of this game.
I have no intention of watching any of it.
The loss was expected because that is what we do.
At least I have to Olympics to watch for the next 2 weeks.

Pro: the review panel and club cannot be deluded by a couple of fairly unconvincing wins vs garbage opponents. Today is what we are and have been for a long time. Not up to it due to poor coaching and players who can’t consistently play with the right intensity and application

Great stuff Yvonne.

I'm not surprised at all by the loss. I tipped us to lose. We've reached the personnel tipping point.
You can adapt with the loss of key players but you still require on area of strength. We don't have it.
A boy against a gun ruckman gave them silver service at the stoppages. When we won it back in defence, we had no structural integrity up the ground to direct the ball to. Eventually the dam wall was going to burst. I wouldn't sack Teague on that performance.
Let the review run its course and make an informed decision from there.

Disappointed we didn't give Jones a run in the ruck though to try and wrestle back some ascendancy.

I could easily see a loss coming because:

A) we aren’t that good
B) north aren’t that bad

Gap between the sides nowhere near as great as what some think or hope it to be, and made even less by our outs.

On top of that they played well and we played below our best, particularly in the 2nd half.

It's down to more than just the coach. Look at our big money recruits of recent years, Martin, McGovern, Saad and Williams, plus we recruit an old man in Eddie. Two half backs, two small forwards and an injury prone marking forward. All those when every man and his dog knew we needed big bodied mids. Then there is Murphy who should have been retired a couple of years ago. I'm in despair for this club.

Good post, Teague may lose his job after the review, but I don’t think he will.

Just take the emotion out of it and decide at the end of the season.

Today was a perfect storm in a way, tipping point of playing personnel and a bottom opposition playing very well (who have been playing well last month).

For a bunch of blokes who wanted Teague as there Coach they have a funny way of showing it...........rude awakening wasn't it.Walsh and Cripps so so and we collapse. That next group just didn't step up did they. When the load is not spread you aint got a hope..............very poor performance. No one wanted to put there hand up.They kept looking for someone else to do it................nuh,disheartening effort for mine.

Pretty much a s#itshow today for many reasons.

North pretty much had the home ground advantage ,,,,,, they're used to playing to empty stadiums.

Pros:
Clarkson closer to finishing his Hawks career with the spoon... payback for Fev... Teague is a genius

I’ve said it before
Midfield is shit
Simpkin beat Walsh
Cripps tried hard but was plugging holes
Dow get a pass today but his kicking overall is substandard
So let’s look at it because that’s where the game was won
SPS trade if you can get anything for him lazy slow weak
O’Brien soft can’t a game gone
Both top 10 picks contracts end this year
Setterfield top 10 pick we acquired him with a low second rounder and pick 43
Slow soft shit kick can’t get a game contracted till 2022
Kennedy I maintain if he makes it with consistent footy it is as a third tall forward
Simply goes missing too much as a mid cost us a pick 28
Dow pick 3 an average player at best contracted till 2022
Martin can’t play mid
Not quick enough hard enough aerobic fitness is terrible resigns as a HFF on $3.5 million over 5 years
Contracted till 2024 once again poor game that shit kick in the third on the left boot was insipid
Zac Williams on 4.8 million till 2026
Can’t play mid not fit enough and hard enough to play there
Gibbons just average at least only cost us a rookie pick
Cripps great player who has gone backwards although still tries hard but doesn’t gain enough metres gained
Guys like Oliver have gone passed him contracted till 2027
Zac Fisher very disappointed after promising start
Simply doesn’t do enough don’t know when his contract is up but pretty sure not this year
Curnow Murphy finished
Fogarty cost us basically a pick 30 can’t get a game very average
With us a bit longer
It’s not enjoyable reading but that is fundamentally why we are shit
It starts in the middle
Goldstein one the hit outs but we were smashed too easily
We don’t have the cattle in this area
And we are talking about some guys who are on long term contracts on big money who we gave up good draft picks for
Poor recruiting and list management

Quality post as always BV. Don’t often disagree with you but with Teague it has reached untenable status imho.

We have a myriad of issues but there is always that coach killing game. Today was it.
