A sad day for the Silvagni family and the club.

A great man who made an immeasurable contribution to the football club and Italian community in Carlton.

Vale Serge.

Ironic that it’s the week before the Collingwood game.

Serge was an icon of the club, a great and very underrated player a great clubman, and coached the club when no-one wanted the job.

Condolences to his family.

Even Collingwood should wear black armbands this week.

Vale Serge.

Will always remember the Big Nick, Gags and Serge triumvirate that made all Blues supporters proud and teammates walk taller.

A true icon of the club and the game.

Any official confirmation?
There is nothing about it on the CFC or AFL sites.

RIP to a Carlton man thru and thru - not many of the old guard loved what Stephen did during the salary cap saga, but can't fault this family's love for the Old Dark Navy Blues.

Awful news to read today - had the pleasure of working with Serge at Kevin Hall's print company many years ago... a great man and always had time to talk about football and the glory days that he had a massive influence on.

Hope the Blues can honour his legacy with a win over the filth this weekend.

Vale Serge.
