It's a shame we don't get a Harry/Moore rematch

That was an interesting post match discussion on here

I haven't bothered to watch the Geelong game and probably won't either going by what I've read and heard.
But I'd say something similar.
In: Honey, Jones (if fit), Kemp, Fisher and Carroll as Emergency if Jones is good to go.
Out: Martin, Williamson, Setterfield, Cripps and possibly Williams if Jones is injured.

And as I said last week, I want to see Stocker in the middle and Kemp in the backline.
Give them a taste for next year.

Not sure the Martin/Owies/Betts triumvirate can survive another week.

The personnel are, by a massive space, the best we have for that set up… it’s just whether we can continue with three smalls when the best path forward has been through a 40m target with Harry locked deep.

It probably wouldn’t be so bad if they had the wheels to get out the back… maybe they do, but there doesn’t seem to be anything like that drawn up.

how about this williamson to play on cripps or maynard they are both very crucial to coll attack from defense (something different) and curnow to go full on tag mode on Adams or pendles . no wing or hff crap.

Wouldn't mind seeing Stocker go to DeGoey. Certainly ahead of Plowman.

I wouldn't be pissed off if Plowman was given another go. It'd be good for him.

We won't get near them. Too many passengers not pulling their weight and too many have poor skills. Not a good combination.

Plowman was hung out to dry in the first game. Handed Elliot when he was 15m off him, or De Goey when he was isolated.

As a defensive pair, Stocker & Newman are a significant upgrade on Docherty & Williamson. If he can get Jones back in, Plow will be in a much better place than he was round two.

Casboult, Jones & Fisher would be good INs this week.

Williamson, Setterfield and, probably, Fogarty the most likely to get the lemon & sars.

Yep, sounds like Jones is a good chance but Levi might be gone for the year (forever?). Massive challenge for TDK coming up in the next month or so.

Murphy unavailable this week but a chance the following week.

McGovern will be available for selection in a couple of weeks. Mirkov probably won’t play again this year because they want to focus on getting his body ready to play AFL.

Charlie to play VFL this week if he gets through training OK tomorrow.

No update on Cripps, Williams & SOJ (who all looked very sore at the end of last week’s game).

If we dont control them and put pressure on the ball carrier coming out of the middle, it doesnt matter who is on them, they will get hit on the lead leace out every time. Round 2 was lot more to do with pathetic defensive effort in the middle and lack of clearances than Plowman's efforts on Elliot or DeGoey.

Agree Kill it also was a lot to do also about not coming to the game with the right intensity and willingness to work hard

One of the most disappointing performances by coaches and players in an extremely disappointing and wasted year

I wonder if the game will still go ahead with crowds.

Spot on. Plow did make a couple mistakes, but he didn't cost us the game as some of the media suggested.

Carlton Mids let the pies waltz out free of any pressure.
Cripps was playing with the help of pain killing injections on his back.
Williams flared up an old achilles injury 10 minutes into the game, then returning with strapping.
Setterfield dropped next game (albeit injured as well)
Curnow left on a wing till last.
Bad coaching day.

Williamson was guarding the lead lane, not.
He was responsible for 2 of the 7 goals attributed to Plowman, and 4 all up.
Williamson was replaced by Parks next game.

I'm sure Plowman will stand up against this mob. redemption.
Its time for Williamson to stand up if he is retained.
This is his chance to prove he has turned the corner. Fingers crossed.

Back then SPS was the 7th defender, Dow was a HF, Murphy was a passenger.

Pitto was No 1 ruck, with Levi on one leg and Oscar 23rd man.

What a stuff up that game was.

Agree 100%.
And I believe it precipitated our spiral for the up to the bye (and beyond?).
I believe that if we had won that game, our confidence would have been up and we would have won several more games.
But, I guess, everything happens for a reason…

This next month or so could be great for TDK and his long term development. Agree, huge challenge for him, but will help make him a better player.
