One of Carlton's greatest ever H&A victories.

In my top 10 H&A games since 1968

Great reminder CK

Tell Cripps and Walsh to make way?

It's called rotation.
Name any other club that relies on 3 mids like our stupid club does.
In this modern game you need at least 6 - 8 mids , gone are the days of 3 or 4 on ballers.
It's no coincidence that we keep leaking red time goals coz our only 3 mids are cooked after busting there gut for 20min

Especially the case today with less interchange rotations.

I remember Dane Swan use to go out full pelt playing midfield, and rotate regularly to recharge, as well as shake off a Tagger, but he went full pelt when he was in the midfield.

Cripps jogs most of the time, even when he's defending.

Cost him and his team 2 goals from Josh Kennedy because he couldnt chase.

MUST rotate, and have the midfielders going full pace when playing there....they shouldn't be tiring and fading away.
That's where our 5 goals runs come from. Mids too spent to defend, let alone win the hard ball at the contest...see Libba.

Dow has to play. Se need more onballers.
I would think Fogarty is due a spell, he has been ordinary since a good start to the year. Problem is he is being asked to play half forward when he should be getting more time onball.
SO maybe Fogarty out and Dow in.

And Honey should play. We need a HF with a bit of toe and aggression. We have too many tiny forwards who are slow and cannot tackle big bodies.
Gibbons will miss through a hammy so Honey surely has to come in. Could be a blessing.

Teague seems to adore Casboult despite the fact he kicks it out of bounds from 10 meters under no pressure so not sure a change there will transpire.

To all those Pittonet haters I agree he isn't the best ruck playing but he gives his all, something a few others in the team could emulate.

It would be nice for Dow, SPS, and Honey to get games. Dow and SPS play as mids.

Out: Setterfield, Casbault, and Gibbons.

Won't happen.

Don't hate Pittonet at all, I'm sure he's a lovely bloke.

I just don't think he's a very good footballer

Can't tell if you are joking.

If you read my post that is what I am saying.

He at least tries. Hello half our side.

You used the term "Pittonet haters" like we have something against the bloke

Apparently Fisher might be ready to come back. If so I hope to high hell he's more ready than Jack Martin was. He was embarrassingly underdone

In terms of experience, Pitto is still a kid, too.
He has played 31 senior games.
Ranked above average this season for hit-outs, hit-outs to advantage, and clearances.
Give him a break.

Why do we have to get touchy about it? I just don’t really rate him. Just opinion my opinion. Nothing personal

I'm with you jake

I've pointed out the weaknesses with his ruck work.
Its obvious.
I've explained his clearances and how he gets them. Good on him.
He's the best we've got till Tommy gets going again.

There was a reason last year Pitto was dropped and tommy took over.
The club don't hate him.
That's life.

When did the word "Hate" come into it?
Its a discussion, usually SWOT is discussed, not hatred.

I see where this started.

Teddy, by you saying you don't rate him, does that imply you hate him?

I know he does his best, and he's the best we've got, but do you rate him as a ruckman?

I don't think he's effective and his taps to advantage are questionable.

... and if he's above average amongst 20 ruckmen going around, that doesn't carry too much weight with me because there's only a few who I'd want playing for us:

Gawn
Nic Nat
Grundy

English
Ryder
Marshall

The last 3 have been injured, but were good last year.

West Coast 5 changes all injuries. Serious we really should start favourites & win this.

No excuses.

Meanwhile some potential Morans come in for the Weagles.

We are beyond [REDACTED] if we can't win this.

That would've been handy last week

Not much different to last week side cottrell in a massive liability runs around like a headless ckook
Would rather see Parks play before Newman
If we lose this game some real pressure will come on Teague

It should be Dow, Fisher, and Parks named on the interchange. If we can get those three playing the MC can stuff the last up.

How Casboult is in consideration is beyond me he is cooked he is slow his two previous weapons of marking and crashing packs no longer apply
Dow should play
Murphy is just hanging on

If we play Casboult, Pittonet, and TDK in the same team again I’ll put myself on a self imposed ban from the CFC and the AFL as a whole until Teague is gone. Worst selection decision that I can remember

5 Weagles out injured. Big outs too with Shuey already on the sidelines.
We have to win this.

They will come at us. As long as the boys are reminded of Simpsons statement about us.
I'm sure the boys don't need reminding. 4 quarters boys.

My guess is the MC will go Gibbons out Fisher in Murphy 23rd
