Unfortunately coaching changes have done nothing in 20 years. Has to be other reasons.

Fox highlighting it now, really pissed me off at the time

Mills punching Stocker in the balls right in front of the umpire and we didn't receive a free kick reversal

Not enough heat on Buddy for this high bump on Newman either

I think that's disrespecting Sydney, they have great field kicking that requires pressure the whole time.
We didn't deliver on that.

The crowd reacted didn't they? I thought it was reversed, not sure what happened.

Cripps getting smashed into the ground was worse though.

In addition to the effect on the team, it was disappointing that Harry missed so many that would've put even him further ahead in the Coleman.

Harry missed a few, but he's Harry.

De Konig actually looked ok when he went in the middle. But overall he was poor, but is young.

Not sure at all what Casboult and Pittonet offer. The latter doesn't hit the ball to advantage, is useless when the ball hits the deck and more importantly can't take a mark to save himself.

So @#$%&! frustrating.

This. Never had a chance with our selections

Pros:

Tried hard for 3 quarters.
Cripps, Weitering and Harry (despite his kicking).
Eddie's certainly over his ball handling issues.

Cons:

Too many of our players were beaten by their opponents.
Conceded over 100 again. Even with all our gun defenders. Time to change the coaching panel to one who know how to devise a gameplan that gives us a fair chance of competing.
Was Docherty taken out of midfield this week (onto a half forward flank)? And if so, why?
Ran out of legs.
I know we're really short of numbers with injuries, and players out of form. But I'm not sure why we continue to give games to Levi.
Our small forwards collectively were pretty ineffective.
Newman and Stocker got exposed today. Newman's snail like pace is a problem defensively. Not really fair expecting Stocker to take Papley.

Hopefully that has convinced all that this rebuild is a bust

We are treading water. Apart from Walsh, our early draft picks have not come on.

And what the hell is Casboult doing in the team. Biggest liability in the AFL. He is so awful.

How can we go into a 6 year rebuild and haven’t improved at all still a bottom 4 side
Given games to cottrell/gibbons/ Levi/ Murph/Newman/newnes/Betts/Ed have certainly slowed
up the progress of younger players weather they are good enough or not we won’t find out if you
don’t play them to me Teague seems to coach for himself worried about been competitive and not winning

We’ve had the worst list in the league for much of the past 20 years. We’ve gone through a full rebuild now and a chock full of talented players. No excuses. The buck stops with the coach

Not just Sydney, it's every week.

Every week in the women's comp too, near every week this season as well. So what issue pervades though the club?

John Barker is the luckiest assistant coach out there! nothing sticks to him ten years on
Everybody in the coaching group should be feeling pretty nervous especially the long serving guys......

Buck stops with the players now. Their culture, their motivation, drive, hunger, will to win. Those issues chew up any coach. Coaches have been changed, nothing has changed on that count. Bad cultures kill coaches.

Carlton 2 points up.
Murphy subbed on.
Swans kick 5 goals to 1 to finish the game.
I blame Murphy

(Didn’t we used to have a fishing emoji?)

82 tackles Vs 51.
It’s the players. We had the game plan to get 3 goals up a couple of times but not the composure/skill/application to go on and win.
It feels like we put the car in neutral
Once we get a few goals up. Similar against the Bulldogs.
Selections were puzzling but even so we were able to outplay them for long periods of the game.
And what was that attempted kick off the ground by Docherty?? I felt like that was a symbolic turning point.

I'll be letting my kids pick their own team. I refuse to do this to them.

My grand kids sit with me to watch this rubbish.

What have I done.

Playing 2 underdone talls (in Casboult and TDK), not to mention Newman and Martin, doesn't make it easy.

Also, going into a game against Papley and Heeney, and upon losing our best lockdown small defender (he is, people), we decide not to replace him like for like (Parks/Williamson), but bring in that young buck Levi Casboult.

My two kids under 10 walked away while we were two goals up. I asked why and one said “be serious dad, even you know we will lose by somewhere between 20-30 again in the end like every week.”
