The question is how as a club do we get better on field
At the moment there is a reasonable sample size from 10 games that we haven’t gone anywhere in the last 2 years.
A guy gets 18 or so possessions a week as a wing/ half forward doesn’t have a real physical presence about him and has been like that for a long time.
He is nearly 34
In the past decade I thought Gibbs and Murphy should have been dropped because they were basically downhill skiers.
As I said the pressure you exert on the opposition when they have the ball is crucial

What has helped Murphy get games is our crap depth
When was the last time we had a decent reserve team with a dozen or so players putting selection pressure on the seniors

Look at last week
You only mount a case for Honey
Kemp needs at least a month to 6 weeks of footy before being considered

KK the other thing about Murphy is he is a nice player
He doesn’t have enough shit in him
Owies and Cottrell from my observations have a bit of mongrel something this club desperately needs more of

You know you are offending the Murphmites ,who don’t want him to ever retire !! Apparently was boak , and Mundy do at their age is a unfair comparison to what Murphy brings ...

And honey should be 23rd man tomorrow , with his pace late in a game of required could be required ina tight game

You are legit cooked dude.

Levi, in form, is a huge in at the SCG.

Swans defense is not tall.

Obviously something Teague wants to exploit

Bondi,Swans are a young side.Reckon they would be due to fall off the cliff anytime soon.

Swans lost their mojo when their game plan to run in numbers from the backline got exposed.
They played similar game like Demons, but in bigger swarms.
They took advantage of the new rules. The comp has cottoned on.
I hope Teague has.

WE can beat these kids.
As long as we keep Buddy and Papley in check.
Ed gets Parker, or Heeney if he;s playing midfield.

Just win the midfeild battle FFS.

dont hold your breath

First of 2 very winnable games and arguably season defining games
Swans are a good side but not a great one. We’ve beaten them on the last couple of attempts
Show up for 4 quarters and we’re in it up to our eyeballs
Give away the usual 5-6 goal quarter and forget about it
Time to actually beat a finals contender

Weather is calm and cold.
16C now 18C max
Doubt it will rain. Maybe a light shower blown in from sea.

We are a tall team, and can cover whatever they throw at us defensively with levi on call, and we can stretch their defense with 3 talls.

Last game McCartin stitched up Harry in the first half.
With 3 talls we may be too much for them.

Lets hope umpires are fair.
Its a one sided crowd.
The game is virtually sold out so I'm expecting a few NSW Bluebaggers to come out of the woodwork with a bit of confidence.

We should win by at least 4 goals.

We better win.

Then next week we have another game in Sydney.

Lovin it!

This is one of the games they need to win if they ever want to have finals aspirations in the coming years.

If the drug cheats can win 3 in row with the team they have , there is no excuses for us !!

Really don’t like Pitto, Levi, TDK, and Harry in the same side. We’d want to hope we use the ball well cause we’ll be one short once it hits the deck. Either that or our smalls will have to work bloody hard to get up and down the ground and get extra numbers at the contest

I can’t really recall the game but I know they kicked the first 7 goals or something. I wonder how much of it was due to the quality of delivery or lack thereof.

Harry has 10cm and 10kg on McCartin. Put it to his advantage and McCartin won’t stand a chance against 2021 Harry.

Go the bomb :donk:
Need to get those little shits out of McKays leading channels. :banghead:
Give him the space to lead and be able to deliver to him.
There is so much wrong with this team its ridiculous.
Twenty years and still no end in sight.

Pretty much guarantees an early injury just for the sake of the Murphy thread.

I'd love this game to be over at quarter time with us leading.
Go Blues!
