if the plowman & holman incident to get two weeks ... (neither of them should face anything)

Hartigan should have gone 20 weeks ... ffs ...

as it is, i think hartigan 3 weeks is right (perhaps should have been 4 to make a statement) but the two weeks for plowman and holman is our game gone made.

First offence, according to afl.con.au.
Didn't he do the same to Tom Hawkins?

The thing that works against Plowman is that he braced for contact rather than tried to spoil.

So Plowman is meant to just hear footsteps & pull out I guess. Jesus Christ.

The only footsteps were Plowman's as he shoulder charged into O'Meara's back and head with no eyes for the ball while O'Meara was in the process of taking the mark. If O'Meara had done the same thing to Plowman, he'd be called all kind of dogs and then some.

BUt I'm not sure why Hartigan got three. I thought elbows were okay nowadays. Probably just trying to defend himself.

I agree, as I posted in another thread Plowman never at any stage played the ball, he just gave an unsuspecting player a hip and shoulder which is just stupid.

I think you’ll find that that is the on,y thing that matters, if he’d played the ball he wouldn’t have been reported.

Sorry, yes, afl.com was wrong. According to The Age, he has been done before . Copped a fine.

I’ll need to be convinced that Plowman's was even a reportable incident.

Same with Holman.

CARLTON will challenge Lachie Plowman's two-match ban at the AFL tribunal. Plowman was charged with rough conduct for a collision with Jaeger O'Meara that was assessed as careless, high impact & high contact. You wouldn't think it will be the only hearing.

Carlton apparently arguing that another angle showed he tried to spoil.

I don't mind him getting cited. A player that was vulnerable ended up concussed.
As long as he gets a fair hearing at the tribunal, I have no complaints either way.

I of course don’t wish injury on anyone and know full well how scary concussion can be (I saw my nephew recently concussed).

But one thing not mentioned re: Plowman bump is that it’s refreshing that for once the Hawthorn bloke was the one to come off second best in a collision. How many times have one of those pricks run into our guys and broken bones?

Looks like his focus was the spoil and simultaneously crashed and braced.

Free to play.

Is Plowman facing 3 weeks if the appeal is unsuccessful?

So how did Curnow win the parko medal after the game? Is that based on parko selection?
