Watching the team song it appears that there's a few there that either don't know the words or can't be bothered.

Either embarrassed at the standard of play or too buggered to care.

Let's face it, singing the team song at the end of the game is just an anachronistic waste of time nowadays, purely for TV, they do it because they are expected to do it. All teams do the same, too many woos and woops. If you're not going to sing it properly, then don't sing it at all.

No one's game plan is to just bomb. They are forced into it by the opposition causing them to run out of options.

All clubs kick long. Depends how quickly you get it there.
You want to isolate H with his opponent one on one as much as possible.

Providing the ball hits the ground its up to the small forwards to lock it in. All clubs do it.

I wouldn’t characterise that as our main game plan this year. Certainly was too
Much of hhat in the past, with the idea that we kick to a contest on the boundary there’s probably gonna be a ball up at worst. (When I used to attend games in the 90s that’s all Melbourne ever did, even with a centre corridor break the last kick from the edge of the square would be to the boundary 30 meters around from goal as a safe bet). When we do It I think it’s more a result of forwards lacking synergy with mids. Sometimes they’re not leading up enough (as Sellers complained about on radio endlessly during the broadcast yesterday) but just as often forwards have gone back to defend (Gibson Betts Fogarty) or went to the other side of the ground to present a target out of D50 (Harry, Levi, TDK) to which the ball is coming down after a switch.

It’s just about developing the sophistication and understanding amongst players of when to do what and how to play as a team. I suspect confidence plays an important part. It’s why the brilliant Walsh seemingly can do no wrong. Even when he’s caught holding the ball it seemed like a good decision in hindsight.

Happy to get the win, But. Teague gave them his best spray at half time. I don't understand why professional footballers, who are paid more than Snowy on the trams can only dream of, need a spray to get them to do what's expected of them.
Unprofessional ? Yeah Nah maybe it's just me.

Plowman got two weeks for a football collision?

What a joke hope we take it to the tribunal. Did not hit him high and there was no intent.

What the hell?
Fair enough the Hartigan one but what was Plowman supposed to do?
Even the Hartigan one seems a little excessive.

The only footsteps were Plowman's as he shoulder charged into O'Meara's back and head with no eyes for the ball while O'Meara was in the process of taking the mark. If O'Meara had done the same thing to Plowman, he'd be called all kind of dogs and then some.

BUt I'm not sure why Hartigan got three. I thought elbows were okay nowadays. Probably just trying to defend himself.
