You know what , I watched my blue heaven this morning to watch his review of the game and he made some good points , who gives a shit who is playing , what tactics there is , there is no excuse tomorrow with this hawks club that we can’t beat

This is our line in the sand moment as dermie said about the hawks all those years ago against the drug cheats !!

So the question who will be our Richie vanderberg tomorrow???

We have been bullied for ever by this club

I will never forget Clarko for the Aiken king hit in 87 and fev flood to deny him his 100 goals

This game tomorrow is more than just a game it’s about something going forward to success ... and yes that’s how dramatic tomorrow is ....

The whole club is on notice

 Exactly

Line in the sand moments don’t happen these days if you refer to hitting players showing aggression
Hawthorn are crap but their midfield is still ok
Teague keeps trotting out the same crap
That where good enough
It will happen
It won’t
We by to rebuild
The longer you wait the worse it gets
It’s called poor list management

What worries me is that we’ll go a bit too hard (for not a lot of reward on the scoreboard) for the first half in anticipation of their pressure in response to their loss to North last week.

Hawthorn will expect this and will cruise along for the first half possibly down by 2 - 4 goals, come out after half time and turn on the pressure for a 20 minute purple patch through to 3QT while we shit the bed.

We’ll go into the last break down by a couple goals with confidence shot yet again.
Hawthorn cruise through the last quarter to a comfortable win.

Sounds familiar eh?

It’s almost like you’ve already watched the game

Dow omitted, used as sub, didn't play at all, then omitted, then promoted after 1 game.
Gibbons omitted for poor form, used as sub, average game, then promoted again.

NFI.

Mind boggling

I know Gibbo is one of our elite runners, but that's it really. Role player? He's average at best imo.

Should be playing Dow. We need to build his confidence and a light bulb moment should happen for him.

He has got weapons.

It’s bewildering alright.
Maybe he’ll kick 4 and prove us wrong but on available evidence it’s a selection based on what he might do not what he has done.
Dow isn’t banging the door down but has surely done enough to warrant another chance in an area we are deficient?!

Dow must be out injured, not named in the VFL squad, which explains a few things….

Good luck to Plowman, playing his 100th game for Carlton in the Navy Blue.

Big day for him, his family and his team.

Now go out there and show us some aggression and physical intent, and beat your opponents all day.

Go Blues.

Was going to say I feel one of Gibbons, Fogarty Owies or Betts needs to make way for Dow. But given Dow is injured

GO BLUES!

Show up and win this game if you want anyone to take you remotely seriously going forward
We’ve been bullied by this mob for 15 years and now they’re very vulnerable so make them pay like they’ve made us pay for 15 years
Zero excuses tomorrow

Owies and Betts are actually kicking goals. Plus Owies is young and has a future.

Fogarty has done some nice things but lately has dropped form. 50/50 on in or out.

Gibbons should never be in.

Any reserved seat holders know what’s going on with ticketing? Contradictory txts and messages from the club. Can you scan in with your member ticket?

How did Teague sleep last night? Does he trust his players to step up to Hawthorns physical intent?
Does he believe he and the coaching group wont leave us exposed in the tactical battle?
It's more a line in the sand game for the coaches than the players IMHO.

The one thing we do know is that the Hawks will keep on coming at us all day . If there is only a couple of goals in it a three quarter time ( either way ) it will make for a very nervous last quarter . As in any game we simply must be switched on all game to have any hope . GO BLUES.

Absolutely.

Our 22 v their 22.

The rest is what the coaches create for a win.

It all starts with motivation before the game starts, then to turn the motivation into a relentless attack on ball and man.
Next is the message of selflessness. Can Teague get the boys up to help each other and give a great show of 1%ers?

Can Teague fire up the Blues from the start and go 4 quarters?
Will Teague's game plan be nullified by Clarkson, again?

Like some of us have said all week, no one wants to think of the fall out for Teague and co. if Carlton lose to the team 17th on the ladder.
I don't even want to think of that, and don't believe for a minute the players want to entertain the prospect of losing.
Will Teague introduce something new this week to surprise Clarkson?

Its win and enjoy the victory, or else the players and coaches better run and hide when the final siren rings.

Carlton by 7 goals.

Team looks balanced. Cripps to lift to another level today. Star recruits to star.

Jack to kick straight.

No. You have to log into your Carlton member account and the games coming up are on there.
You then download the ticket onto your phone.
I have no idea why we cannot scan our membership cards.

They are making it difficult.

I don't like carrying an electro-magnetic gadget in my pocket when at the footy.

I don't mind the vibe feature when not at the footy. Just sayin.

I'm nervous too, but that said, in 2021 we have actually performed in the games we've expected to win (bar Collingwood)

Yeah, he'll probably slow down our ball movement even more than last week. Because that's the great tactical defensive innovation he introduced last week. No way that Clarkson will be able to handle that. :banghead:

Cheers, my email address was associated with the wrong record on the clubs database (a data entry issue). fixed now. I reckon the phone at the club will be on meltdown today, as members encounter issues. Just let people use their member tickets.. jeezus. Go Blues
