Two moments summed tonight up for me and showed me that something had changed.

1) Parks rubbing that little smartarse’s face into the ground.
2) Owies post-goal reaction from the 50 and the boys actually backing him up when the sniper tried to go him.

Amazing what happens when you actually stand up for yourself and show these cauliflower you won’t be pushed around. They may just topple.

And we had fight and wrestle !! Finally !!

Some passion !! The way parks nailed tippa is my favourite Carlton moment of the year !! Finally some mongrel

Geez he parks reminds me of a young Peter dean !! Sorry for the pressure young fella !!

Lovely note Teddy. Enjoy the afternoon with the family after a good win. I must confess I had childhood flashback of Neal Daniher kicking 5 in the last five mins of a game so I take nothing for granted against this mob

Ouch let’s not talk about that game , it’s was one my earliest memories of going to princess Park with a packed ground ... ahh those were great days

Was that the game that they paid a free against Mike Fitzpatrick for time wasting? :banghead:

Yes it was !!
I may have cried that day.

You can't prove it though.

Its always good to get a win but it was looking ugly early on. I hated how we gave them a sniff at the end but a win is a win.
Parks was really good early on.
Owies nice little return.
I actually thought Dow was okay for the time he was on.
Harry still hitting the scoreboard.
Nice to see Eddie kick a few.
Thought Walsh was just sensational what a player.
Another top game from Weiters.
Cripps was horrible and Doc not much better.
Plowman I have seen enough
Gibbons I thought was terrible.
Gov once again brilliant with the ball , but not getting it enough.
Levi next to useless again.

A bit of relief

Amazing that Carlton survived without Murphy in the side !!

Cripps either something is wrong with him or he has switched off , no way he can’t keep up and let stringer run off him !!

Docherty exposing stocker like that in the first qtr !!

Stocker tough , Dow 3 centre clearances ( who would of thought ) for the time he was on the ground
SPS forward of the ball , who would of thought he be so creative ??
Cunningham goal kicking power and creative , who would of thought

Led my superman Walsh , who eats kyprtonite for breakfast !!

Casboult, Gibbons, Pittonet were carried by Walsh, Cuningham, Weitering and a few others.

If we are serious, then Gibbons has been poor for a few weeks now, and I think is in trouble.

Cas is done, played behind a lot and gave away some undisciplined frees.

WE won
I expected as 5 goal win.
I'm happy to beat Effeduggies*

Walsh the superstar. Pity he's at the end of his 15 year career. Hang on.
Walsh carried Cripps today. Cripps looked injured to me, or the game is past him.

Levi is there as 2nd ruck. Nothing Gov couldnt do.
Now Gov is injured and SOS will replace Gov.
WE are stuck with Levi and Pitto.

Get a couple ruckemen end of this year, coz the mids are starving.
When we won ruck midfield had no idea how to read it or...what a stuff up

Owies 3. Has the knack for goals, no doubt.
Parks a real find. Has to learn to smother. He is not AFL fit. Can't wait when he is.

Walsh BOG
Ed
Cuningham
Saad
Weitering

all bove had an amazing game.

Feel for Dow. He clicked/ continued from last week.
Penny has dropped? Can't take a trick. Hope he plays mext week.

Backline were good again. Jones Weiering were a rock
Doch was Ok but something is amiss, like Cripps.
Can't wait to the day they both step up.

Betts good, but his reflexes are going. Last season no doubt.
Harry great after a statue like first quarter. Got mobile midway in 2nd Q
Thought Stocker was good. I was expecting more from his kicking though.

Got the 4 points

Haven’t seen the game so can’t comment but relieved we won. Looking forward to seeing how we perform in the next two weeks.

Was disappointed with his man the mark efforts.
Couple of times was too slow so had to stay out of zone, so no pressure applied.

How @#$%&! good is it beating Essendon*... better than any other win. I hate everything about that pig of a club. More than a few cracks papered over today, but I'll enjoy the win for now. Halfway through the 2nd quarter I seriously thought we were heading for a 10 goal loss. Great turn around. Enjoyable win. Go blues

..good signs again from Dow, I've got belief in the kid.. ....good extractor, and when allowed to play instinctively will hunt the ball and opposition player.. ....not afraid of contact, just needs a couple more preseasons to build up core strength..

Perfectly summed up , back him in! He will come good , just let him play In his true position

Look what happened to brayshaw at freo when they backed him and gave him confidence

What a great day - we beat the Bombers twice! A rare double win for our VFL/AFL teams.

Terrific to win a milestone game too - well done Weiters! May you play at least 100 more.

It doesn’t pay to get too carried away with that win though. Still lots to work on. Lots.
