Looking forward to seeing how Owies goes.

Hate being that person who called Williams injury prone when we were looking to sign him. Hope in time I'm proved wrong. After all, we have "the greatest fitness conditioning guy of all time". Beginning to think he's a worse plant than Malthouse.

Has general soreness.

If you were going to use him as a plant wouldn’t you send him to a club that was a threat?

Is Williams made of paper. Or carrying an injury.
Geez the whipping boy Samo copes it. Far from our worst.

Samo is played out of position and easy to drop him , than any of the senior protected players

Logical changes.
Parks back releases Newnes back to the wing. Owies takes Murphys role as a small forward and Dow replaces Williams as a mid.
Curnow has to go to Parish. Tippa is their other threat. The whipping boy Plowman has been good on him previously. The pressure is on Pittonet to perform against the Essendon* kid and give us first use.

I love Eddie and his historical legacy but on form, he is lucky he is a Teague favourite.

SPS is a bit stiff, one week in his preferred position and dropped.

Williams FFS

His first 4 kicks were clangers and or turnovers.
I reckon he was lucky to get a game at all last week.

SPS is a good player - just hope coaches develop him as he is playing the game too safe and too self preserved maybe even selfish and take the game on with more damaging kicks.

What a joke.

The mismanagement of our young players continues.

SPS dropped is ridiculous

What the hell was the Dow strategy over the past few weeks? Dropped. Sub. Average VFL game. Back in.

Only selection news I’m somewhat happy with is Owies getting a go and Parks coming back in.

The rest is infuriating.

Dow needs another run in the 2's, the time to drop SPS for a kick up the arse was long past, and Williams FFS.

But I guess if we get done we can say "Yeah but we didn't have Murph".

Thanks BV... Forgot about Newnes back last week (maybe I blocked it from my mind)....

Gee I hope Owies puts some pressure on (he's been good in the VFL).. and for God's sake if Gibbo can't get a touch... Throw him into the midfield

Go Blues

Owies was pretty quiet last week
Dow really needed a few weeks in the 2s
Parks straight back in with no return game in the 2s

Not ideal really. I wouldn't have dropped SPS given there are already 2 forced changes

Fair enough BV.
I don't think however Dow should be promoted back to the seniors after 1 VFL match and Setterfield would have been a better option. Dow played well against Essendon* in the pre-season match so maybe this was taken into consideration.

Dropping SPS and leaving Gibbons and Newnes in, is just plain bad management.
Good luck to Owiens but he isn’t AFL ready.
I like the Parks confidence to select straight back in, but why not JSoS as well?
Cottrell? Agains like the kids willingness but he doesn’t do enough.
Ed was taken to the cleaners last week but again protected species.!!!

I feel for SPS. Finally gets moved further up the field to only be a scapegoat.

At least Dow was on of the best in the VFL last week, there were at least 10 better than Owies last week, not convinced with Owies, hope he proves me wrong.

Dont want to see Dow on the wing or HFF, must be in the middle and told to hunt the ball. Dow and Setterfield looked good last week, no Cripps, they took on the responsibility. Yes it was only the VFL but I enjoyed the way they went about it. Telling others where to stand whilst they took prime position at the stoppages. Rather being so bloody introverted in the seniors.

Can't Williams play more than 2 games in a row? In and out a lot, must be carrying an injury.

They look quick on paper.
