Not all of the team, just a dozen of them.

They will be replaced.

WE have 10 elite players to build on

Glass half full.

It can turn around pretty quick ... if/when MC pick players who really don't like losing with white line fever.
If not, change the MC.

This thread is as depressing as they come... Just the fact that it is on the active topics list. It could be from any of the last 8 years.

We are a genuine chance of being 0-6. If that happens, Cripps is as good as gone. Teague will be gone. And we will be no further advanced than 6 years ago when we started this "re-set"

Watching North yesterday magnified our issue. They busted a gut trying to do the right thing; harass, tackle and defend, but they just weren't good enough. Our problem is the opposite, we just don't give a damn! IMO - this current 22 has 2-4 weeks to show they give a f@#k.

Then what? We'll get rid of all 22?

And half of that dozen (at least) are still redeemable...if we had a coach who was not as conflicted/inexperienced/ill-conceivably idealistic as Teague

Let's not forget that if it weren't for Judd's comments about "training wheels", Teague, in all likelihood would not be coach

If Teague is sacked at the end of the year, I do not believe we will have gone backwards at all

Big opportunity for this team to do this on Saturday night.
Won 2 games they should have but a nervy performance last week.
Tomorrow night we not only want a red hot go we need to take a scalp
Port are in the best 2 teams in comp but had bruising encounter with Richmond and don’t travel well
We also after the lacklustre last game at G against Carringbush when we failed to turn up need a win at the G

Go get them your time should be nigh

No excuses no big statements hit Port hard get an advantage early and seize on that advantage 1 goal 5 and 25 mins in our forward 50 is not going to cut it

Whilst we have Levi and Harry taking the shots, 1.5 is a definite possibility.
Both have flawed kicking techniques that make them very unreliable. Levi's is beyond repair but if one of the coaches could actually get Harry to keep his head over the ball instead of falling away to the right all the time, he'd possibly be a reliable kick.
Mind you, they've only had half a dozen years to fix it. Can't expect things to happen too quickly.

Living in Northern Vic, and working weekends every 2nd month, i had the following chat with the my 13yr old son.....

Dad: hey son... we should try go and watch a Carlton game this year. Check my working calendar and pick a couple of games to go to.....

Son: Don't worry about it dad.... you might as well go work every weekend....

Disappointing when your kid's dont want to go and watch a game cause they know we're soooooo bad......

Is there any other team that is as flaky in front of goal from set shots?

Brisbane?

We kick for goal like we feel lucky to have the opportunity.

Don't say that. Brisbane will come out and kick 18.2 against us this week.

No this week again
The beauty of the way we are going we can revert to the usual practice of looking towards the draft and trade period by about round 9

..Zac, and then who ?..

....people questioned my enthusiasm for his undisciplined act that got him suspended (and only him judging from subsequent tribunals) during the preseason.. ....I stand by my opinion.. ....You're either a bit of a thug, or you're not.. ....you can't fake it, and you can't intimidate without having a core group of players that will consistently choose the option of hurting the opposition.. ....we play polite, we play with good manners.. ....and that's beautiful...... ..at the Christmas party.. ....it's embarrassing.. ....I want brutality, I want the odd disgraceful sniper.. ....I want opposition fans screaming blue murder..

Sad but such a bad indictment on our club

My kids are adults now and they are
Immune to us losing

So are mine...If I don't see another flag, I can cope with it as I've seen them all since 1970. Want so much for my two adult boys to experience it. But this club has flowered up big time since they sacked Brittain (15 injuries that year). He was our last decent coach

Near the end I caught myself thinking, oooh, maybe the margin might end up in the teens not the 20s, so that'll be good.

That's what this footy club has done to me as a supporter :banghead: :banghead:

Quote:
The Lions had already activated the injury substitute after Darcy Gardiner’s injury, and in the club’s statement general manager of football Danny Daly said Neale’s efforts in playing out the game despite being injured were a source of inspiration to the entire club.

“What Lachie did on the weekend for our football club was huge,” Daly said.

“That was an important game - we had already been forced to make an injury substitution and he stayed out there and battled on under duress and played a huge part in helping us get the win

Why do players become so brittle once they don the navy blue lately?
