Zac Williams played in the VFL? Was he allowed because it was a practice match?

Has anyone seen a match report?

Yes but I think a lot of it is personnel based. Richmond more seasoned and just better, and cream rises to the top.

Game on the line and someone like Dusty just imposes himself.

It's not too late to change them to lower case k's Heavs. I've seen others make the same fatal error

I doubt Willo or SPS will get dropped. Teague seemed pleased with the backline last night.

At this early stage, my guess is.....

B: Doc Jones Plowman
HB: Saad Weitering Williamson
C: Setterfield Cripps Williams
HF: Martin Casboult Newnes
F: Fisher McKay McDonald

R: Pittonet E Curnow Walsh

Inter: Dow, Fogarty, Murphy, SPS

Sub: Gibbons

In - Martin, Williams
Out - SOJ (inj), O’Brien

No way I would be dropping Gibbons for MacDonald. However I would look at Stocker replacing SPS who I think struggles with the space and pace of games at the MCG. And this will only become a bigger issue with the new manning the mark rule.

I’d be concerned about team balance if we took McDonald out of the team and didn’t replace him with a tall. We don’t have any quality talls ready to come in (McGovern needs a week or more in the reserves when he’s ready to play again), so McDonald stays IMO. In fact, on form alone, you’d pick him ahead of Levi & Harry at the moment.

I accept Gibbons would be a bit stiff to be dropped from the starting 22, but Fogarty & Fisher are just ahead of him at this very early stage of the season.

The Collingwood side is as bad a team as I've seen them field for as long as I can remember.

If we don't beat them by 5 goals we are going NOWHERE.

Fast ball movement by hand from the Dogs tonight and some pretty frenetic tackling to keep the Filth at a comfortable arm’s length

Have we got anyone in the squad who can do this for 4 quarters next week to shut them down? We’ll need at least 90% buy in...

Not a fan of O'Brien's but I'd be dropping SPS and Murphy before O'Brien (and don't give a frogs fat arse if I'm the only supporter who thinks that way)

SPS has given us about 10 cameos in 60 games, He has NEVER been dropped

You'd retain O'Brien?

Yes. For philosophical reasons I would. I'd give him 4 weeks to settle into the team and if, after an extended run, he's made no improvement or doesn't look more comfortable at the level... I'd basically be done with him.

WE have gifted him enough games..

His marking efforts on the last line last night and against Saints last game atrocious.

You have got to be kidding???
Tell me how many games he's had under Teague/how many blocks of games?
SPS has no peer when it comes to being gifted games...compare SPS to Cunningham/Kennedy when it comes to the old, "everyone's equal-but some are more equal than others"

Collingwood were ordinary tonite. They will be breathing fire next week but really we should beat them. Cannot afford to bomb it forward or Darcy Moore will just dominate. Their forward line isnt much chop, but i suspect degoey will play more there next week. Grundy had a poor game but he will certainly be a challenge for Pitto. No excuses, we should beat them.
