Thursday night will be telling on a number of fronts. We’re a bit undemanned playing the best team of the past 4 years. Are we going to roll over like last year and just let them walk all over us early or are we prepared to make this into a rock fight? We need 22 blokes cracking in, tackling, chasing, pressuring etc and then whatever the result is from there I can live with it. This mob is very very good but they’re not unbeatable. I’m not expecting a win but need to see some fight and 22 blokes not playing as if they are afraid of this mob like we’ve seen in the past

Well said.

Providing we crack in all game and dont allow 5 goal slippage and can arrest momentum then I will be happy with bare minimum.

I would be absolutely delighted with crisp ball movement, top end skills execution and smashing them in the coal face. Really hurt them in the stoppages and spread from congestion.

I was bullish about this game up until a few weeks ago then I gave us no chance

Now we are a shoe in - Hardwick signing 3 year contract extension 2 days out has basically handed us the 4 points

Nothing better the a coach contract extension to deliver an underwhelming performance

Tigers in a canter for the first 3 quarters yes. Then we peg them back & draw level with 3 minutes of the game to go.

Then we bang on a few quick ones to seal the deal.

Carlton by 96 points

Yep got the email.

Now just one small favour. Seeing there's only a handful of tickets I'd appreciate it if you guys give me a head start.
Don't get on till 10:05am giving me 5 mins to sort out my s#it.
Thanks in advance.

I haven’t heard anything but that would be about our luck.

Might help stop us bombing it forward....
I'll be looking for certain anti-tigers strategies...

Follow player to the contest.
Run to the receiver not the ball carrier
Kick short from the contest
DON'T BOMB to an outnumbered forward
.. Many more, but that's a start

Go Blues

This is a good summary of our pass mark in a nutshell...for the round 1 game.

They are not unbeatable.

When Tigers go hard giving it 100%, we should match it.
They will start to question as fatigue slows them down.
Who knows, we may continue to finish off games strongly ... and win this one.

Go Bluebaggers

You're a ripper Sydney Blue.

Lets hope Wallsy doesnt write an article to counter this advantage.

I hope you're right...you usually are with these scenarios
