Having said that McDonald better than Moore

H going off really was key to our chances
Beaten around the packs
Saad and Williams will be good
Slippery fish doing well KSOS doing plenty of heavy work
Setterfield good
Dow moving well
Lots to like everyone

One word Skkkiiiiillllssss. FMD, they're deplorable. Docherty, Walsh and Setterfield worst offenders. Simple kicks and handballs. It'd also be nice to have a key forward available. Meet our forward line Callum Moore and Oscar McDonald... if that doesn't strike fear into the hearts of defenders I don't know what does. Thank God this didn't count for anything, but it'd be nice to show something

Turnovers killed us tonight.

Have to fix that ... if possible

Please fix it...101 footy

No Harry for rest of game as well.....guess we need to depend on Jack to lead the forward line. Which Im very comfortable with tbh.

Loved the Fish. He was our spark. Setters was very good as well. Harry was average early so it was good to see McDonald show something when Harry went off.
Doc had a shocker, Willo will have to improve and O'Brien just confirmed what I already knew. He doesn't have the physical intent required.
Loved Dow's hands around the contest. He was super creative. The one obvious thing to come out of the game? Our midfield isn't ready to move past Ed yet. When he went into the middle in the last quarter, he consistently won the ball and prevented the opposition running away with it. Something none of our other mids could do.

Dumb footballers or dumb coaches. All of our players get sucked into the contest. One or 2 of theirs go hard and it spills to their loose players outside the contest. Stoppages and marking contests. How it wasn't addressed at quarter time amazes me. In fact, St Kilda have played this way for years. Even before Ratts arrived. There was no excuse not to go in prepared.

I just hope Teague learns from this.

He has to be flexible enough....maybe as you say....needs to be proactive

I really like seeing Williams and Saad in our uniform.

15 tackles inside our forward 50 to their 5. That's a big bonus. Williams helped in that area. We just need to tidy up our disposal. 5 goals the difference, 5 extra goals from turnovers to them. That was the killer. St Kilda have been front runners for 10 years. If you leave them in space or give the ball back in transition, they'll kill you. The key is to win the contested ball and to closely pressure their loose outside the contest.
A good comeback though and I admired the persistence. IMHO, they're a top 4 side and we're around 8th. I thought it would be a 3 goal loss based on available personnel but I'm not disappointed in the outcome. Lots to like.

Could have used Jo out on the field based on the hip and shoulder she gave “Smiles” SOS in the stands after Jack’s goal

Such a great summary...

Cripps also had a shocker...

Pittonet did well...
Williams throws himself 100% at everything. Created a couple of goals as a result... Not sure that we want him defending the aerial ball...

Disappointing that we didn't seem to have a set up at kick outs??

This is a gift in the game (Huddo said in the last quarter that it would be great to see what Saad could do if someone blocked for him.... Yes.... It would!!!)

Saints mostly waltzed out of the middle... Winning or pushing it out...
They also went for a short kick on a first posession out of the stoppage... We ran forward and left the receiver free... every time....

Plenty to fix...

Go Blues

I’ve liked him in both games. Leading tackler for us tonight. Applied good pressure and is pretty reliable in his disposals. Has played his way into my Round 1 team.

Haven’t followed your stuff closely enough to know for sure, but I assume you’re taking the piss here? That’s the worst he’s played in a navy guernsey.
