Cripps may not sign.
SPS, Dow and O'Brien may be moved on. SPS unhappy about being played out of position.
Harry has a big offer from us but North, Essendon** and Hawks very interested.
Club not impressed with Murphy after he was dropped.

Tipping Samo was the one complaining g about being played out of position, although most players could complaint about that.

Murphy’s comments post dropping were emblematic of the issues and, unfortunately, part of the reason why the culture is what it is.

When a former captain is thinking that, goodness knows what the rest of the dressing room has then allowed itself to think.

It’s only taken about 10 years to realise this...

hawks first game recruit had !4 tackles ,strong built body ,now compare his stats to dow , lob,sps and you see why our club is struggling .our players are just weak .

HOT STUFF to consider kezza

Cripps may not sign?
Maybe his offer isn't as much as he expected or valued a year ago.
Maybe the offer reflects his true value circa 2021.
Maybe he doesn't like the thought of Teague being moved on.

What Cripps has to understand is that the media scrutiny on him is all his doing; lack of defensive mindset; not sharing the ball; trying to do too much; missing goals dead in front...

Spot on.

Murphy has tickets on himself.
He's not interested in Carlton making Top 4, whatever it takes.

If he showed th kids how hard they need to go in, by hitting them hard during preseason, to set the standards, the kids would be playing tougher football.

I'm sure all us Carlton tragics saw that and thought the same.
Someone desperate to show he belongs and adds value to his team.

Piss weak is the word. Have a look at the leader they played under in their first few years to set the scene: Murphy.
Now Cripps is playing selfish and Doc kicking off the ground instead of picking it up, let alone 2 fundamental mistakes a game on the last line.

Cripps will sign on with Carlton.

What's the alternative?

His value has dropped this year, and a team offering big $ he'd be expected to play better than he is now.

At a new club, on big $, he will be ridiculed by their supporters and the media for the type of performances he's shown in 2020 and 2021.

He will just ruin his brand if he goes for $ he may be after, imo

You are probably right.
It has been sad watching Cripps fall away so suddenly.
He has gone from the being in the top few players in the league a couple of years ago to struggle to be in our best few now.
I hope he regains top form again. He has not been the same since he lost that weight and lost his strength.

Remember Henderson, soft as butter, no aggression, didn't want to be at Carlton..took him a few years to finally develop some intensity and guts..unfortunately he had to go to another club to find those attributes.
They've got some great leaders at Geelong,,have had for a long time..don't think some of our players would last long there..

Agreed Chitty
Walk into Geelong and you’ve got Selwood who would give anything just to win the toss before the game, let alone a contested ball. You’ve also got Chris Scott who can blow his lid at any given moment.
Compare that to our “leaders” and coaches and it becomes obvious why our players don’t all get the best out of themselves.
I still remember an interview with Murphy from early 2019 after McGovern turned up overweight and out of condition and he was telling the media that the boys had nicknamed him brackets and that he would be getting into the cupcakes the hardest (it was someone’s birthday and they had cupcakes). Imagine if Jeremy Cameron had rocked up at Geelong overweight. Would Selwood be laughing and effectively condoning it? Obviously a very trivial matter but did show the mindset of our club. Accepting mediocrity. Little standards

I hope some of our players read these forums. We know our coaching staff refuse to be hard nosed or have failed, so maybe some home truths from supporters might change player attitudes.
Then again, they might just up and go as well.....
