I did. No.23 was at his best.

I didn't really notice either.

At least our free kick tally tonight was more accurate in front of goal…

12.17

Murphy BOG
Jack Martin is our classiest player by the Flemington straight. Absolute jet.

SPS needs a spell. Still confident there’s superstar player in there but we have no one to blame but ourselves for his current form. We’ve tried to turn him into a defender and destroyed his confidence. Give him 2 weeks off and bring him back mid or forward

The Gold Coast Suns were as pathetic as our goal kicking.

What a wasted opportunity.

Don't disagree but maybe I'm the only one who thinks that he lairises too much on his left foot or tries to balk a player too close to him

Very good performance in pretty much every facet but the goalkicking. A complete statistical domination and the Suns have been competitive all year long.
Midfielders were dominant - Murph, Cripps, Martin, Walsh, Setters and Ed all big ticks
Backline rock solid. Weitering phenomenal. Plow, Jones, Simmo and Doc all won their positions. Thought Willo was very good hitting the ball at pace and used his big left foot to advantage.
Forwards good but couldn’t convert. H very clean marking in tough conditions should have kicked 5. Gibbo back to some form. Newnes rock solid. Fisher should always be in this team.
Thought TDK again showed a bit - we need to persist with him.
6-6 and in the mix for finals. Bring on the Pies

think Fish has brought some zip and smarts - glad to see him back.
TDK - gee the next few years are going to be fun watching him become.
Martin - for free....
Loved Setters game.
Thought Cripps and Murph were great.
Weiters is the best CHB is the game at the moment.

Agree Dannyboy Setters is really coming on and fish has added a dimension

MARTIN for FREE

H great game and whoever said his brother is better than him during the week
Hasn’t had a lot of continuity the last few years but look out when he does

Weitering very very good

Not bad win without Kreuz Kennedy Jack Charlie Gov Newman Marchbank Dow

Ohh yeah and
TDK > Pitto

I love pitto and he will be a bloody good backup. But TDK will be a top 5 ruckman in the league, at worst

Pros:
Murphy was BOG even though he dropped off a bit in the last.
TDK ready for a breakout game.
Harry's marking
Martin
The whole backline.
Walsh
Fisher in spurts
Gibbo
Cripps and Doc, who was rock steady.
The second tier mids all had an influence.
Cottrell's last quarter when the others were getting tired.
4 points and 4.7%, which should have been 10%.

Cons:
Kicking for goal in general and Harry in particular.
SPS is bereft of confidence and looked for the easy option at every opportunity. He is a beautiful kick of the footy but we are on the road to destroying his spirit.

Very relaxing Friday night watching the footy. Shithouse kicking for goal but otherwise utterly dominant performance. That should have been 70+ point win.

Harry McKay looking better and better. Cam Mooney making a really good point that we need to sign him long term asap. Have to agree. Extend him now. Lock him away.

Martin is class. 99 Prelim pointed out that he lairises a bit but I reckon he is genuinely creative and you need a couple of flair players. Otherwise you end up with a team of dour Ed Curnows. Bring on the flair, I say. It's exciting.

Thought Murphy played his best game for the year. Setters keeps improving. TDK shows enough.

Eddie just couldn't get a handle on it and SPS was there abouts but not quite. Might be time for a rest.

Weiters was great but for a couple of miskicks.

Annoying that we didn't win by more, but to be honest happy to get the win. I got very nervous prepare and actually tipped Gold Coast given that we were coming off such a high and had such massive travel. Plus our Friday night history, to get the win and get back to back wins in emphatic fashion, you'd take it every day of the week.

Go Blues

Probably the worst result we could have had given our dominance. Still it's not the worst sentence to type after a game.

Probably one of the worst observations I've read for a while, given we've just gone back to back victories, and probably 90% of our players beat their opponent on the night. I'll take it.

??
We should have won by 70-80 points given our dominanc.
Apart from the 4 points, it was a shocking result %wise.
We needed it. As someone else wrote, if we miss out on the finals by %, this will be the reason why.

We beat a team that we should have beaten.

We don't often do that.

Us/Up aside, are we the only team not to know the words to their song?

The best part of the win was the last few minutes of the 2nd term. We’d squandered opportunities and let the Suns back in. They got to within a kick and I was thinking “here we go again” but instead of dropping our bundle - we went bang, bang, bang. Suns back in their box at halftime.

I know the Suns were fairly ordinary tonight - and, yes, it would have been nice to kick away and win by 10 goals - but those few minutes showed me that we might be turning corner of mental and physical maturity.

I expected a huge win.
Got the 4 points: that's all we need to do every week to win the flag.
Missed out on an additional 10%.
Team effort.
How good was Murphy?

Its all coning together.
I stll can't believe how we continue to pull off the taxing Teague Team Defence.

Anything can happen.

I hope Charlie is sharpening his sword

Know exactly what you mean

Half time conversation was ..."WTF just happened at the end of that quarter?"

Bang Bang Bang

and that's just what we can do regardless the opposition
