Murphy is on the fringe of the best 22. If he kicks or handballs it to a contest it's an effective possession. If he duffs the kick or handball to it goes within reach of our player, even if it's behind him or a bump ball, it's an effective possession.
You are right. He is in our best 22 based on the last couple of weeks on possessions gathered but he had a run of shockers a few weeks back that had to be called out. Same with Eddie. We all love Eddie but he is in the team based on his pressure acts alone. Not good enough.
Ratts dropped Polec after he was BOG two weeks earlier. Caddy got dropped for giving away a 50 metre penalty. There's your difference right there. Ruthless v feel good.

No problem with Ryan. Great game.
Fyfe played a great 1st quarter and a reasonable last quarter. Didn't do much inbetween.
Taberner goals through more than doubtful free kicks, commentators.

Anyone heard if Newnes has been fined by the AFL ?

Throwing the chair ?
Covid 19 breach for touching the extension chords without sanitising them ?
Bullying the cameraman and security guard into moving ?

Surely they are going to come up with something to pay us back for pinching the game :smile:

The free kicks get the tick, but Newnes taking the kick does not, although they stop short of saying it was a flat out mistake by acknowledging the umpires would be bound by their "view" on gameday or similar.
