Now that JSOS is an auto selection who is going to make way for him after the win against the bullies?

Unless MM is injured.

Port playing super tough football and so are we. This should be primetime Friday night game.

Ports' midfield runs very deep.

I'd give Murph a spell and play JSOS through there.

Cripps, JSOS, Setters, Walsh, Kennedy, Ed... Gibbons to pinch hit.

Massive test for the group, mentally and physically. Midfield must fire... it's key to stop them rolling the red carpet out for their forwards, and to give us a chance to kick a winning score. That's true every week but even more so against Port.

Unless MM is injured.

Who says he's an auto selection?

That said, probably could use a harder body out there, Murph looked tired and now possibly injured...dare Teaguey make a big call and 'rest' him either way?

If Murphy’s fit, he plays IMO. I doubt he needs to be “managed” at this stage of a season with short quarters. It’s a different story if he’s injured obviously.

Is Cripps a certainty?

Can anyone even confirm what happened? Couldn't tell at the game and there's been little talk since.

Can't see JSOS coming in myself. Certainly not an automatic selection.
Assuming everyone is fit, no change for me.
If Murph is unfit, I'd bring Fish in.
Hopefully Crippa is good to go, but I wouldn't be playing him if he wasn't 100% or close enough to it.

Looked to me like he tackled a dogs player & knocked his shoulder, could've just been a stinger as they call it. Went to the rooms for a bit & came back on but didn't dominate.

Did one of the port players get reported?

Fish has missed too much footy and is not a big body... we need to ease him back against a side that isn't on top of the ladder with a big, strong midfield. He'll get brushed aside.

Same. Can't change a side that wins like that.

Selection all depends on injuries. Otherwise I wouldn't change a winning side.

Did we play a scratch match on the weekend? Can't find mention of it anywhere. Keen to hear updates on Fish, Stocker, O'Brien, TDK etc

Cripps has said he'll get a scan on the shoulder today but doesn't expect any problems.
Murph getting a scan as well

Just quietly, I wonder whether Gibbons may turn out to be better value for us than Papley.
Don’t get me wrong - I think Papley is a much better player than Gibboms and would love to get him.

However, I am also starting - just starting - to consider that Gibbons might be good enough for that forward role rotating through the midfield and for a lot less $$ which helps us retain or attract more great players?

Let’s see whether he can improve his consistency. But, just maybe...

we need to bring the pressure from our forward line ,tackle tackle ,port likes to get back in numbers then quick sling shot from defence into ther forward line . A bit like Essendon* quick ball movement so keep that ball locked in our fwd line

We need another gun small forward. At the moment we have Eddie filling that role and he looks like he could have a couple of years in him yet, but he won’t play forever. His performances are showing just how important an A grade small forward is and when he retires that will become a glaring hole in our list again.
