Hi guys,

Just popping in to spruik a video we've put together, which you can access at that there link.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxi8AsXa02A

Obviously without football we've all been forced to fossick around for ways to scratch that itch and we thought a weird, eccentric, deep dive into our rivalry with Collingwood could hit the spot on this, the weekend we were meant to play them.

Have a watch if you've got the time!

Thanks,

I like the montage of footage

"Common assault" - hit on Rhys
"Regicide" - hit on Jezza...

very clever... he, he.

p.s I liked the 2005 Wizard Cup win at the time.

2008= number 5 on the list. Interesting choice. They were good highlights you compiled. I had forgotten that period...actually forgotten most of 2002-09, 2014-2020

Wonder when you think Carlton will play Collingwood in a final? 5 years? 10 years? Only been waiting for 30 plus years...
Could be another 30 years the way the game is managed.

Excellent to watch, and listen to, despite the long-winded and unnecessary Star Wars metaphor.

Thanks heaps!

Thanks, all we hope is that Carlton fans - for whom its made - take it for what it is: a silly look at the past.

That Wizard Cup Grand Final was a super watchable game of footy, no doubt, and we played well to win. They'd go on to play in the next two AFL Grand Finals and we'd finish last and 15th... weird.

I can see us being opposed to Collingwood at the pointy end of a season in the next 5 years for sure. As we're on the way up, of course.

Love the Star Wars bit! It was a way to talk about Carlton without talking about Carlton... even if it was too long, but by that point I was up to my neck in getting it done. When you're being silly there's a groove to be found between levity and brevity, though.

The crowd scenes at the Carlton vs Essendon* final of 2011 ...wow! I had forgotten about that.

It is like two massive armies in one stadium. (37 min into footage). Imagine the atmosphere at a Carlton vs Collingwood final...it would be out of this world.

I didn't attend this 2011 match, I went to the final in 2013 against Richmond and that was pumping as well...but the crowd it seemed to be more mixed into combined areas in the Richmond match. I like the look of the Carlton supporters behind the goal- big group of navy blue.

No matter how much the planners want us to watch Geelong/Brisbane etc vs GWS or some other combination of Gold Coast vs ? you cannot replace this atmosphere. What a buzz!

Re the Star Wars metaphors - i got lost by about the 8th metaphor, but I liked the distraction anyway.

Star Wars jumped the shark in the first reboot and then went back for more. Just abysmal...but not as abysmal as Die Another Day in the James Bond franchise. They didn't just jump the shark they lasered it whilst outracing it on an ice speed dragster....and then jumping out of a plane in a helicopter. Surely the worst plot of any film at any time.

Despite being time poor today, I couldn't stop watching it to the end.
Bloody Brilliant...and commented as such.

Every Carltonian should watch this.
I will share it with the many Carltonians I know personally.

Well done.
Great effort.
Great viewing.

...yeah the Star wars metaphor was a bit much for a non Star Wars fan, but I must admit the Carlton footage kept up my interest even through the Star wars metaphor.

You're a clever fella with a great style of commentary.
