Jeez that prophecy's a bit unnerving!!!!!!!

World War 3 and a severe economic depression couldn't dampen the feeling half way through the 4th in a Grand final when we're 6 goals up and Coniglio is lining up from 25 out after a ripping tackle...

Wait, where am I?

Really?
Seems hard to believe.

I think I tend to agree with DOC - the board really wasted a chance to interview more people and learn a thing or two.
Even if they knew they were likely to go with Teague all along, I'm sure there would still be some quality assistants who would back themselves to have a go at interviewing ... the Board had nothing to lose really.

Anyway -
The more I think about Teague's experience, the more I Like it:
- Bullants (successful at managing his own team)
- West Coast (experience in an elite footy organisation with $$)
- Adelaide (experience in a team that built itself up)
- St Kilda (experience doing it tough in an underperforming club)

He basically ticks all the boxes you would want from an Assistant's resume.

Now we just trust him and go for the ride
Hopefully he doesnt say "we are on a journey"

Anyone have any idea roughly what coin Teaguey would now be on?

My guess would be roughly $500k base with big bonuses - finals, grand finals etc.

You make a lot of sense Bluey. Let's just hope Teague has learnt and can implement at the highest level. We have all waited long enough.

For some reason the air got really dusty (or someone started cutting onions) when Teague spoke to the players.

Disturbing how few of our blokes I recognised in street clothes. Maybe I'm just super old.

So I'm a bit confused... Increased use of public transport will herald the next world war? In that case, maybe the Teague Train isn't the best idea.

Time to start the Teague Stretched Hummer, painted navy blue, mufflers off and fuelled by super as God intended. Who's with me?

I love King's last quote'
"this is the first time Carlton has joined the AFL in 20 years."

Wasn’t able to watch the presser live. Just watched the video posted by the club.

Fantastic all round. Very happy for Teague and hope he can deliver the sustained success we all crave.

Find Liddle ultra impressive.

Very happy he was appointed but I would have preferred we wait until after Round 23.
Hopefully the players don't feel they have achieved their objective of getting him appointed and take their foot off the pedal for the last 2 games.
I'll be pissed if the Saints come out and belt us. I still want to finish as high up the ladder as possible.
