Not playing good enough footy to win 3 and you need to factor in that at least in every 3 weeks we don’t turn up
If we are serious should at least beat GC and GWS -about time we beat GWS
Unlikely to beat Port given their current form

It's nice to dream though. Great weekend for Carlton.

Yes results couldn’t be better
Potentially 2 spots in the 8 as Easgles very wobbly
Need Melbourne to belt them next week

Where's a good old fashioned drugs saga disqualification when you need one?

If we play with a proper defensive game plan like the other night then more wins could well transpire.

Saad is our barometer. The less he runs off HB kamikaze style the more likely we are to win.

I bet Honey or Owies makes way but let's carry Bambi to 300 coz that's what we have to do.
Finals are a big chance let's see if there's any selection integrity from David.

Honey won't be dropped, let's not be over dramatic. As for Owies, remember he was due to be "managed" the other week and has been on a bit of a diwn swing in an otherwise fine year. There's a case for "managing" him for Eddie that has nothing to do with integrity. Murph will be injury sub again.

A "drugs saga disqualification" might be wishful thinking, but what about a covid cluster taking out a team on the eve of the finals?

No dramas in dropping Owies.
He's proven to be much more hard at the contest, without hitting the stats sheet than higher rated players like Murphy, SPS, Fisher.

He has made his mark, and will remain on the list for next year, me thinks.

Amazing how people react to one win and completely forget the awful week before

Awful year. Still haven’t beaten a team that was top 8 when we played them.

I think the club have a tough decision to make.

On the one hand Clarkson is potentially available and the club embarked on a wide ranging football review at a time when the team's performance was poor.

But on the other hand, Teague's overall win loss ratio since he took over actually isn't that bad (44%), and the team have started winning games albeit not against top sides yet.

Teague evidently has also changed the game plan to be more defensively focused.

At the end of the day though stats don't lie.
In 2019 Teague's win loss ratio was 54.5%.
Last year it fell to 41.1%.
Right now for 2021 it is 42.0%.
If he can snare 2 more wins and get the ratio up to 45%, it may be enough to save his arse given all the injuries we have had.
But I think his ability to show he can instil a stronger defensive game plan and mindset will also be key.
That's been the biggest thing for me. We have been opened up like a can of sardines so many times this year, it has been starkly embarrassing. To me this is a philosophical thing. I just don't think Teague cares enough for defence. But has he changed?

I'm liking the idea of putting some "head coach talent" around Teague and giving him another year in charge.

Bolton suffered from a loss of his mentor at the time, and Teague's never really had one. He was straight in the deep end with a list who's bottom 6-8 players are very very poor but with genuine AA talent up the spine.

Would Lyon, Pyke, Buckley, Scott come on board as assistants perhaps?

I'm very frustrated as we all are, and I have been guilty of (over)reacting and calling for Teague's head. But perhaps that is wrong and if we put some strong talent around him things could turn.

Imagine the dilemma they'd face if he snared 7 more wins...

It would only be a sweet eight - with half a sugar thanks.

Enormously difficult to soar like an eagle when you’re surrounded by turkeys.

The dilemma with ‘head coach talent’ is that they harbour ’head coach ambitions’. We need career assistants. Not the repeatedly rejected like Barker, but the modern day Elshaug’s of the footy world.

I just don’t know that Teague has those kind of allies.

That’s my concern also. Vultures or team players to support Teague.
