“Coaching a football team through two years of a pandemic has taken a huge toll on me, my wife and our kids. Regretfully I need to stand down as senior coach to spend time with them and refocus. I wish the Carlton Football Club all the best moving forward in 2022…”

- Oh that’s a shame but family first. Thanks for your service David

(Secret payout and move on)

I'm liking the idea of putting some "head coach talent" around Teague and giving him another year in charge.

Bolton suffered from a loss of his mentor at the time, and Teague's never really had one. He was straight in the deep end with a list who's bottom 6-8 players are very very poor but with genuine AA talent up the spine.

Would Lyon, Pyke, Buckley, Scott come on board as assistants perhaps?

I'm very frustrated as we all are, and I have been guilty of (over)reacting and calling for Teague's head. But perhaps that is wrong and if we put some strong talent around him things could turn.

Would need to be someone like Brad Scott who doesn't necessarily want to be senior coach.
And I'd make him Head of Football, not an assistant

David has killed himself.
He had numerous chances to change this culture but his reliance on senior duds over talented youth is HIS own doing.
Soft, weak and insipid club with a Coach who continues to ignore pathetic efforts from senior players.

I can't wait for Clarko or Ross to get stuck into this soft club.

Typical effort today after last week's great game.
What's his presser gonna say this week

We need a response blah blah blah
Pack your bags and never ever again should this club consult the players on coaches.

Players clearly didn't play for him. He has proven time and again that he is out of his depth. Take an uber from marvel up royal Pde, clear out your office and all the best in your future endeavours.

Choco Williams please to get some cauliflower into these Nancy boys. It’s gonna take a hard nosed leader to turn this club around

The joint is full of head cases. The last thing we need is another one.

I could have posted this last week.

Right his minute, all I can think is every time we play a really important game, we fail to turn up.

We got killed in the midfield starting from the ruck, but we lost it in the midfield, and fumbles and half hearted efforts and second thinking whilst the kids in the opposition won clearances and played to a game plan to win.

Teague got out coached.

His belief in this team is fine, but I don't believe in him or half the players who fronted today.

After last week's effort, and it was effort, and this week selecting the best team we've had for the year, well, the only conclusion I can come to is Teague's failed with a game plan and to get his players up.

I know. I just can’t help but want as far opposite to Teague as possible

Dannyboy, look at some of the posts in this thread!! With the comments that some people are making, it appears that they held some glimmer of hope that things would improve.

The club has been a dead man walking for the whole season...perhaps longer.

Get Ross the Boss!

The common denominator with Bolton and Teague is SOS's list.

The players SOS selected, or should I say, some of the pea hearts SOS selected should be a lesson in itself.

I don't want nice entitled kids, from nice families who send their kids to Private schools with good football programs to play good football against kids from similar backgrounds: Simpson made me think of that.

I'm
