Not sure why the thread was locked with regards to our previous sponsor - but the judge sure didn't like this firms conduct that Andrew Demetriou was the Executive Chairman, which as I understand means he had a hands on role in the every day running of the company.

http://www.news.com.au/finance/work/car ... ebd8917a4e

This doesn't sound like anything Andrew Demetriou would do:

Quote:
“Its activities resembled those of an unscrupulous fly-by-night operation rather than those of a prominent and market leading provider of student recruitment services, as it describes itself. In my opinion Acquire took advantage of vulnerable unemployed job seekers in order to rort the VET FEE-HELP scheme and its conduct was disgraceful.

It sounds like "systemic" conduct to me.

Nothing to do with Virgin but has that advertising always been at the top of the topic pages?
I haven't noticed it before.
All of a sudden it is orange and photos of shit I don't want to buy.

My banner ads are usually related to pages I've just visited or are for things I've searched for, but I'm logged into Google in this browser.

If this forces their hand to sell the 20 year pokie licence - then maybe, just maybe - there's a silver lining in all this. Gotta be honest, the schadenfreude is almost palpable.

So true.

It is a football industry problem.

The amount of gambling advertising on TV during games is a disgrace.

Reports there is interest from 10 investors so it appears it will survive in some form, which gives us hope their sponsorship will continue.

Would all passengers please disembark immediately.

Walsh and Weiters aside, the plane would be pretty empty.
