Rumours starting to spread that Andrew Walker will be announcing his retirement soon.

Anybody heard anything?

Apologies if this has already been dealt with.

A friend who has ties to Carlton emailed me about this earlier today.

Farewell game for Walker and Jamieson in the final round would be the perfect send-off.

Took one of the greatest marks, and kicked one of the greatest goals, by any Carlton player.

I can't remember too many better debut games from a Carlton (or any other club) player in my lifetime either.

for all those above having a go at me about walker retiring - just think about the fact that for 21 years we have not won a Premiership and Hawthorn are going for 4 premierships in a row

if that fact alone does not motivate any Carlton supporter- they are too emotional about their players rather than ruthlessly hunting for success of our club.

rant over :smoking:

At the risk of being disrespectful, does Jack Silvagni inherit the number one jumper next year?

I take it one can't change their number mid season?

Not sure why the need the feel/be ruthless has any @#$%&! thing to do with being happy about a player retiring. Seriously you need to get a grip about this need to be ruthless because me thinks you'll be pissed about something else when we win a Premiership.

Call me silly, but I don't think Hawthorn vying for their 4th on the trot is precipitated by their supporters showing a lack of class on a fan forum.
