If everyone has to earn their spot I don't know how Thomas is in the squad, surely we'll be getting rid of him as soon as possible too.

Some have to earn their spot, others have to earn their money.

My guess would be Everitt and one of Sumner or Weitering out for Thomas and Walker. Obviously Weitering only rested if they decide he needs it.

Thought they would be the changes. The good thing is I'm confident the current coaches will have given Sumner some constructive feedback and given him some specific things to work on rather than just banish him to the VFL.

On what basis does the super recruit daisy get a game?

I think Daisy offers more than Sumner at this point in time. Daisy was carrying injury IMO, before he had his time off. His output this year was good before that.

Summer needs to find more of the ball to take the next step. I'm a believer in his ability to do that, noting he hasn't had a preseason ever from what I've read about him before we recruited him.

Was Thomas in our better players last time we played StK? Looking for a repeat I'd say.

Has someone got stats on how many time someone has handballed to Tuohy running past to have a shot from a mark or freekick outside 50 and we scored a goal out of it?? From memory I think he has scored 1 maybe 2 goals out of 20-30 shots the last 2 years? Why do we keep doing it as most of his kicks fall short and get punched over the line??

He's done it 13 times for 8 goals 3 and 2 have fallen short.

good stats out of the same stat book that has Liam Jones on 99 goals this year :sly:

Yeah, well.... Had some people going, but.

It will be interesting to see if Weitering gets up, he has looked tired and as if he is carrying an injury. Everitt may still play, wide spaces at the G may suit his strengths. Still think we need more pace in the side. They murdered us last time with pace and in centre clearances.

Can't see that we've added a lot of pace really. ..

You don't need pace if the ruck and midfield is alive. Remember we were flat and without ruckman last game. Jack Stevens had an armchair ride all game.

He is clearly a good kick for goal on the run and had can kick it 55 meters, probably the best kick for goal on the run in our side. I'm guessing that's why we keep doing it. In most instances the player who hand balls it off is beyond his distance, therefore it's a wise move giving it off to someone who has a penetrating accurate kick.

He's kicked 3 goals 4 behinds this year
Please its not wise to give it to someone who rarely scores! If a player is outside their distance pass it to a forward or someone who will kick a goal......

wonder why levi handballed to gibbs at the end of the game when he was on his range - mad!!

Whiley been given a clear message that averaging 35 posies for a month ain't get him a game....even against a team that killed us at stoppages last time. Gotta improve other areas of game or bye bye ?
