16 in a row is totally unacceptable. It'd be a joke if only it wasn't a joke.

A nuclear war will occur tonight.

Tomorrow cockroaches will rule the world and John Barker will still be at Carlton.

Wow, thats an interesting development and I think an indictement on the club. Is he that sure that he's gone as a result of the review being announced? Wow

“Personal reasons” probably means he doesn’t want to wait to be personally named, shamed and kicked out of the club as a result of the review. He probably had inside info he’d be the Fall guy no matter what.

GONE

Experienced assistant coach John Barker has resigned from Carlton but is set to leave the club sooner than he anticipated.

Barker, who is currently serving as the Blues’ stoppages coach in his 11th season at the club, offered his resignation to football boss Brad Lloyd on Monday, citing personal reasons.

A club source has told The Age Barker wanted to remain with the team until the end of the season, but the club’s preference was for him to leave immediately.

It’s now expected Barker will depart during Carlton’s bye round this weekend and won’t be in the coach’s box for the Blues’ round 14 clash with Greater Western Sydney.

Putting 'personal reasons' aside (I hope everything's alright), it's ABOUT. @#$%&!. TIME.

Thanks JB and time to part ways (appreciate your service immediately post Malthouse when you stood up)

Happy about the change. Happier again if the team/person who appointed him to the position (stoppage coach) took some responsibility as well.

Hopefully with their best mate now gone, reality has just hit our underperforming midfielders that their cruisy existence goes with him.

It's also telling that this happened the day after the review was announced, and that the club basically told him not to bother coming back after the bye.

Next get Andrew Russell to focus on doing his job instead of trying to become a media personality.

As Sam Maclure stated he wanted to stay to the end of year and Carlton said thanks but no thanks

Amazing how we supporters saw this a mile off ,,,and now going to spend 10s of thousands of dollars on a review before they saw it with John barker ...

We would have had him out the door before he took over from Malthouse.

Just the beginning... thanks for your efforts, but 10 years at an underperforming club is far too long.
