How do we expect to instil a winning culture or go anywhere with this guy still around. He has only been part of a losing culture throughout his playing and coaching career. Part of the worst period for Hawthorn while playing and worst period for us while coaching. Cannot believe this guy has kept his job. This guy is the definition of a leech and seems to be impossible to get rid of.

Just the sort of bloke that would beat whatever Playfair’s scorecard throws at him.

We need the league to take him off our hands.

Midfield & stoppages for Barker.

Do yourselves a favour & take a look at the opening bounce from tonight’s game. Either the ‘A’ team forgot how to play, or they were only as good as the brief...

The error wasn’t with the ruckman. Pitto laid the ball down where it was meant to go - IF the tap had’ve been in the centre of the circle. All three mids were goal side of an advantageous bounce, but only one was on the move.

We’re not dynamic enough from the ruck contests. Any wonder Kreuzer always looked like he was on the last lap of a 10k sprint.

And, on the rare occasions we get a clean ball, we either kick it wide to the wings where it's a footrace or Cripps tries to "take 'em all on" Fred Flinstone style and more often than not, a turnover happens

Agree about the fact that their is no momentum by any mid beelining the ball after it's hit the ground; its all reactive!!!!

They had no ruckman yet beat us in the clearances, and got more out of the ones they won.

I don't want to say our clearances coach should have some accountability over this, but....

This guy needs to go. He is killing this teams potential and probably Teague’s career.

 Playing games with my head Adam.

I'll take the Premiership in that exchange.

The old Carlton worried about that type of thing when Elliot was in charge.

Eddie Maguire worried that about another team getting their Golden Child Nathan Buckley.

There's no guarantees in life, but yeah, I'd love that Premiership this year. :gift:

It would be even funnier if he was “poached” and THEN we on a flag.

What? No flag this year.

Your view is more believable than Adam's

Look I don’t really know why Barker is still there, but ive followed football long enough to see maligned figures become coveted on the back of being around when a team has success.

Can you imagine articles like “john barker - the blues hidden mastermind”

Congratulations to John on his lifetime contract with the club
Only reason I can imagine why he’s still there
Been around for a decade
Time for some fresh perspectives

Of all the posters Donstuie, I feel for you.
I bet you were even thinking of watching synchronised swimming for your sanity.

You've been off put by the same old same old skills, or lack of, and knew it would be a repeat against good opposition.
